If there isn't a windows 7 driver for that machine, you will have to use/install the manufactures driver/software package. Read this for instructions.

Acer orbi webcam for lap top acer aspire 5630 not working by skype???

Check your device manager for device flags.
If found remove them. Remove the device and allow windows to reinstall the drivers.
If the imageing device is not being shown in device manager, you may have a bad webcam.
Remove any, all usb input devices and reboot to safe mode.
Check your device manager for device and flags.
If your imaging device shows up in your device manager and not in Skype, try removing Skype and reloading
Hope this helps

You can buy and add a usb Webcam and attach it to the top of the screen of the laptop. A lot of people do this because the laptop camera has stopped working or is a poor quality camera. I would recommend buying a new webcam. You could try checking in the device manager under "Imaging Devices" Click on the arrow and open "Imaging Devices" To Access Device manager From Control Panel in Vista/W7
See this link: If it shows no Webcam at all then the Webcam is bad. If there is a yellow symbol next to your webcam, then the driver is not working. Your laptop uses a Windows Operating System Driver for the Webcam. For that you would have to go to a computer Tech. Again, I would recommend buying a new webcam. You'll be a lot happier with the results and you'll spend a lot less money. Webcams can run from $10 to over $100. Your budget will determine that. You get what you pay for. If you want decent video then spend around $40 to $50.

Can't turn webcam on

Is this a laptop or a desktop? What make and model? Opertating system type? Simply saying "can't turn webcam on" is not specific enought. Saying so, since this is a pc laptop catg. First thing you want to point out is, is it a hardware or software issue? ( this is referring to windows 7 and vistaz Os) To check if it is a hardware issue, you'll have to go to the "hardware and sound" in the control panel in your start tab. You will then go into the device manager to scan the computer for the hardware detect on your laptop. It will tell you in the hardware device manage under the imaging device tab about your webcam, sometimes it might be found in another device tab. If you are able to see the webcam device, click on it to see if the driver is working properly. Such issue like this can be a simple driver promblem and you will need to install the driver which can be found on your laptop manufacture site. If reinstalling the driver and nothing comes up, most likely the webcam is dead for sure and needs to be replaced. On the other hand if the device manager did not detect the webcam hardware then, there probaly a loose cable connection somewhere between your screen and your laptop motherboard.

When clicking the icon a message appears camera not found

Assuming this is a webcam and you are using Windows, check the the Device Manager to see if the webcam is listed under the Imaging devices category.
If not you will need to install a webcam driver for it.

I have inbuilt web came in my laptop but it is not working means a msg appear on my screen that no webcame is found

Before you install a driver, go to device manager and look for the imaging device. If you can't see imaging device. Press FN and Esc at the same time and you will see imaging device will appear. If it didnt press it again. Then go to to download the driver. Once your done installing the driver. Powercycle system and check if it will work.

Acer crystal eye webcam

After weeks of trying to install my Acer Crystal Eye Camera on an Acer Aspire 6920 with a fresh vista install, I have finally solved this problem.

The error I was getting when trying to install the drivers:

"Could not install device. The required section was not found in the INF."

The problem is a missing registry key for Imaging Devices.
Here's how to fix it:

1. Start Menu > regedit.exe
3. Expand SYSTEM
4. Expand CurrentControlSet
5. Expand Control
6. Expand Class (and keep it highlighted/selected) 7. Edit > New > Key
8. Rename the key to: {6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
9. Open the key, in the right hand side double click (Default)
10. Rename the Value Data to: Imaging Devices 11. Reinstall device drivers and you're done!
