Question about Zyxel Prestige P-330W Wireless Router (P330W)

Unable to configure

I am unable to connect to the router to configure it. My connection within windows shows that i am connected to the router ans if I do and Ipconfig /all I have an IP address. but when I type in the address that the user manual says to I get a time out error. I am also unable to ping the router. I have reset the router back to the factory default settings and that has not helped either. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

After downloading the disk, my computer is unable to connect to the Belkin router.

To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is configured in the Wireless settings in the Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrase or WPA or WPA2 key that was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. My computer is not connecting to my Dynex wireless router. I've called my locate cable subscriber and they told me that it's a router problem. I've disconnected the router several times and it shows that...

First off, verify that you can connect to your cable modem directly. After that, hook up your Dynex wireless router and reboot your cable modem. After this, directly connect your computer to the Dynex router (using a cable). If you cannot get an Internet connection, then there is some issue with your Dynex router configuration. It's possible that there might be an IP address conflict with the cable modem. It would be best to contact support for configuring the Dynex.

If you can connect to the Internet with your computer connected directly to the Dynex router, then there must be some router configuration problem affecting your ability to connect wirelessly. You'll have to check the configuration--might be a good idea to completely reset the router and start over. If that doesn't help, you should contact Dynex customer support, as each router has its own configuration specifics. Good luck.

Reset the router for 30 seconds . unplug the power to the router. plug it back in. wait for 1 check the IP address on the computer. Win XP = click start ==> run ==> type cmd in run box and click ok. you will see the command prompt. in the black window type ipconfig and hit enter. now you will get the IP address and the Default gateway. Default gateway will be the number of your router. This will open the roputer set up. not check the settings on the router. Unable to connect wireless

Since you are unable to go via wireless, follow these steps:

1) Access your router configuration pages by typing in into your web browser.
2) Click the tab that says Wireless.
3) Make sure the wireless broadcast option is enabled. If it isn't, enable it and select save settings.
4) Set up the wireless network through your Vista PC by going to Start > Network.
5) At the top of the window, select add a wireless device. Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Linksys Wireless Access Point.
6) Once added, right click on Wireless-G Router (name varies) and select configure. Follow the onscreen instructions to configure your router. (You can find your router pin by following steps 1-2 and selecting Wi-Fi Protected Set up.)

Try these steps:

1. First of all connect your PC Directly with Modem & check if you're able to go online or not.

2. If No , then contact your ISP.

3. If yes ,Disconnect CAT5 cable coming out of Modem from PC & connect into WAN port (on rear panel you'll find it) of Linksys WRT300N Router , After that on rear panel you'll find small hole with a Reset button inside it. Use needle or pen to press it quiet hard for 1 minutes continuosly, This'll restore all default settings.

4. After that give static IP - to your PC ,subnet mask ,default gateway - & connect your PC directly with a LAN port on the back side of Router.

5. After that type in the address bar of your explorer & login window will come , type username = admin & leave password field blank, then you'll get Blue coloured Router configuration page, From this page you can configure your Router.

6.Now if your Internet connection is Cable then default setting will work for you, However for DSL connection ,on this page you'll find internet connection type - selectiondrop down box - select PPPoE into it for DSL connection.
