Question about Computers & Internet
My heating stopped working and I had a part replaced, since having this problem I have 2 symbols constantly on the screen whenever I use hot water or heating the symbols mean internal pump is running and gas valve is activated. I never noticed them constantly there before I had this problem. When I press the I button it says S.& which means pump overrun. is this normal ? or what is causing this?
The Symbols should be there whenever the boiler is in use, it confirms the pump is running and the gas valve is open...i.e firing.
the pump overrun may come on after a firing to dissipate excess heat and is what it says, i.e the pump continues to run to keep the hot water moving to prevent the boiler from getting noisey. Sometimes you may see a radiator symbol which means the boiler is doing a 'heating' cycle as against hot water.

Sounds to me like the expansion vessel is not working correctly. When the boiler is on the water gets hot and expands into the expansion vessel but if the vessel is not working the pressure will rise and will eventually escape through the pressure relief valve.
