My definitive technology pro cinema 600 sub stopped working

theres a setting is on the subwoofer itself, not the AVR. It usually has 3 positions: On, Auto, Off. Auto allows the sub to "sleep" when it's not being used, and to power back up fully when it senses a signal. Maybe change to On position which would bypass that auto mode

The subwoofer by DT ProCinema 600 doesn't work

I had the same problem when I wanted to swap my PCicon1.png 1000 for the PC 2000. The later interfered with my view on the tv. What I did was raise the tv on a couple of pieces of MDF. I painted the edges of the MDF to match the tv stand. Looks great - is very solid as far as support for the tv - and allowed me to get the PC 2000smile.gif

I suggest contacting the manufacturer as there may be an internal "reconnect" that would allow 220v operation. Good luck!

To match it with an other transformer, you have to know about its secondary voltages. Try to download its service manual by internet. It will have all details. It will be best to contact any expereienced service technician or to the authorized service center for Nakamichi.

Front speaker from my 600 isn't working

I just ran into this in 4 of my 5 DF Procimema 600 speakers. I ended up taking them all apart (be aware - this will probably void any warranty). To do this, you have to take the speaker grill off. Next, using a small phillips head screw driver, take out the top two screws on the front of the speaker. Note - everything you need to do will be from the front.. you don't actually remove anything from the top of the speaker. Next, using a pair of needle-nose plyers (or tweezers or whatever you have) remove the 6 little star-shaped plugs. These are where the spikes on the speaker grill insert to hold it in place. I thought they were some sort of weird screw at first until I removed one, then realized they are actually just a rubber plug. They pull right out - no twisting. Underneath them are 6 more phillips head screws - remove these and the front plate, speakers and all, will (should) pull right off without damage. The problem, well with all of my speakers at least, is that the connections inside come loose or fall off. I just took my needle-nose plyers and squeezed the connectors both where the wires run to the back of the case, and also to where they attach to the speaker. This literally solved all my problems and now my speakers work flawlessly again. Don't forget to put the white insulating material back in place before you put the speaker back together and you should be good to go. I hope this helps!

to make sure its not your reciever unplug sub from pre out side of reciever and with sub on run finger over the tip of the RCA you should get some kind of electral feed back from it through your sub if not then your sub or the amp inside is most likley fried if you know how to open the sub and can access it you may have a mini fuse inside that can be replaced but make sure consult somone about that and not just take my word

"Somthing seems to be wrong with the automatic on/off???" That's my guess too. Your sub requires a certain signal level to turn on, probably because of a sub-sonic filter. I just changed to another sub that did not have that "feature". Problem solved.

Make shure your crossover on the amp is set at 80hz. If closer to side walls you will get more response but may be muddy. Make sure it goes low enough to comliment the klipchs.
