Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Login centrelink Please help, my son who is now 21, completed his VCE and got excepted into Melbourne Uni to do an arts degree. Since he started at uni, his mental health has deteriorated to such a point that he has not been able to attend Uni for the last 2 years. In this time he has been living with his father in Cheltenham, and has been unable to apply for any centrelink assistance because his Dad earns over the amount. My problem is my son has been trying to work on his mental health recovery so he can return to study. He has tried to get employment but has been unsuccessful for many reasons. His father is supporting him financaly, however his health is deteriorating and the relationship between them is very strained, affecting both of them, it has erupted in aggresive and violent acts at times. So the situation is far from ideal. Is there any type of assistance that my son can access to ease the burden for both my son and his father. I live in Blind Bight so it is too far away from anything for my son to access. Can you please let me know if there is anything available for him. Many thanks Sally

Her in Canada if a similar problem existed the best way to get assistance is to have him live alone suddenly and then try to get assistance.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Unable to get connected to Belkin f5d6130 AP

Hi,

You need to be connected using  wired Ethernet (PC's LAN card to Router's Ethernet Port (at the back)).  This is the preferable INITIAL way to configure the router before going wireless. Also it would be to your advantage to initially set your PC (that will be used for configuring the router)  to "Specify an IP address" (static settings) and not "Obtain an IP address automatically."

For a PC connected via UTP networking cable attached to a Belkin F5D6130 AP, the networking settings could be:
IP Address 192.168.2.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 19*2.168.2.1
DNS Server 192.168.2.1
Reboot

Post back results. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: d-link DWL-900AP+ Wireless access point CAN'T SET PASSWORD help!!

192.168.0.50 is the default address for your router, if router was boxed and new, this should be the router IP.

The router configuration must be done using a cable connection, cannot be done using wireless.

If you want to reset the router you can hold pressed the pinhole reset switch until the unit will restart, about ten seconds, this will reset IP to 192.168.0.50 . If router is irresponsive after reset and ethernet cable is tested and fine , then the router may be faulty.
You can call the phone number listed on the router manual to get online assistance.

If the router was not new, but had been re-programmed , the default IP may have been changed manually by the user, in this case do the following to find out the IP.

Click start button
Locate and use Run command
In the Run box type CMD, this will open command prompt.
in command prompt type: ipconfig /all

THe router Ip will be listed as 'Default Gateway'...192.168.......

You can also find IP by rightclicking on network connection, in Windows and choosing Status. ClThen clicking Support tab, and finding the default gateway IP address.

SOURCE: I'm trying to configure my

Network settings on your computer
right click on lan network and properties go to ipv4 properties and use the following.
IP address 192.168.1.2
255.255.255.0
router defaut in the default gateway settings (mine was 192.168.1.245)
enter that again in the dns primary (dont worry about the secondary)
plug an ethernet cable to your wireless router and type in the default gateway.
that will get you to your logon page.

hope that helps

How do I create a myGov account

you need a lot of information to get a login. It is like overkill.
I tried once to get a login and gave up due to the ridiculous amount of information from various statements that I did not have on hand to complete centrelinks identification verification. you may have better luck than I did when I gave up on dealing with Centrelink

Centrelink login online

Don't post your personal details on this public forum, there are lots of ratbags out there who would love to hack you.

I am going to assume you are in Aussie like me (and not Canada or somewhere)

Now firstly Centrelink online is not available 24/7, so you might just be trying at a time when they are doing dusting and cleaning coffee from their keyboards or something. These are the uptimes

http://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/centrelink/centrelink-online-accounts/service-availability

Then if you forgot your password (I do that constantly as I have several) you can follow the "forgot" link here

https://my.gov.au/LoginServices/main/login?execution=e1s1

If you can log in but it then all goes South try here

http://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/online-services/guides/

and if it just doesn't remember you at all nohow, try here

https://www.centrelink.gov.au/wps/portal/clk_common/CROSS#stay

Good luck, I am a Centrelink hangout too
