My 4.3gal.air compressor runs then trips the breaker.it's a fini 2005 lot90.

From your picture it looks like the compressor has had some hard use and subject to moisture.
  1. Moisture can cause the compressor end to have more friction and overload the motor, especially if it doesn't have a good air filter on the inlet.
  2. Moisture can weaken the motor windings and cause internal short circuits that can cause the breaker to trip.
  3. Moisture can attack the motor and compressor bearings causing the motor to overload.
  4. The pressure switch may malfunction and not turn off at the proper pressure. Too much pressure will overload the motor.
  5. The tank check valve could be clogged
  6. Too long of an extension cord or low voltage can cause this

Thermo overload switch keeps tripping

Your pressure switch that shuts off the motor isn't working causing the motor to overheat. If you think the pressure switch is ok then the motor may have a shorted winding inside.

I have a whirlpool refrigerator model w8txewfyq02 the freezer isnt freezing and im hearing a clicking noise

The clicking sound is coming from the overload mounted under the cover mounted on the side of the compressor. You most likely have a defective start relay and it is not allowing the compressor to start. When compressor will not start the overload clicks off to stop power from going to the compressor to protect the compressor from burnout. Defective relays are caused by defective run capacitor, wear, age or a defective condenser or evaporator fan motor. Here are the parts should you choose to repair this yourself=> W10197428 Start Relay and Overload and a 2169373 Run Capacitor You should also be on the lookout for a defective fan motor to prevent damage again to the start relay should it have been cause by a defective fan motor. I am here if you have questions, Thank You, John T. Appliance 911

What will cause my compressor to start bogging down and trip the electric motor after reaching 30 to 40 psi? it has fresh oil and air filter. The electric motor also checked out ok.

It sounds like the run capacitor needs to be replaced. If yours is weak or defective the motors run windings will over heat and trip the overload. You can find replacements at "Drillspot". Another issue is using an extension cord that cannot handle the load.

I am trying to find the thermal overlaod switch with no luck . Where is it exactly?

The motor has a manual reset thermal overload protector switch. If the motor overheats for any reason, the overload protector will shut off the motor. The motor must be allowed to cool down before resetting the overload switch and restarting. It is located on the motor housing on the side opposite where the pump and hose connections are. The reason this switch shuts off is because of low voltage problems caused by either a too low amp rating on the circuit it's plugged into or by using an extension cord. It is always safer and better for the motor to run longer air hoses than to use extension cords.

Pump humms and barely turns. Fan blade caught wire caused huge spark. wire has been replaced.pump does not really seem to get going and trips safety after a minute of running.

hi there!
short circuited at start damage motor compressor
if you have a service center for motor compressor have checked this one, motor compressor has thermal overload protection mostly on single phase motor inside the motor,in the absence of overload protector the winding of motor on start and running maybe shor circuited.this should be rewind by motor rewinder.check the cost of motor rewind to a brand new motor.have choose n it.have a nice day fix my rate.
