Question about Stealth Cam Wildview Game Camera - Wildview 2.0MP Digital Cam STC-TGL2M

1 Answer

I changed the batteries in my stc-tgl2m, re-set my time/date info and everything seemed fine. When I came back the next day it hadn't taken any pictures and I noticed the time/date had not changed. I shut it off and turned it back on and it went to a default screen(?) of 88888 on the top line and 188888 with time/date showing on the bottom line. Turning the switch off, or to test or pir made no difference. Removing and re-installing the batteries haven't made a difference either. Is there a way to "re-boot" the controls or do I need to repair/replace the unit. This camara is about 7 years old and has worked flawless till now. Actually very impressed with it.

Look for corrosion on the terminals that the batteries connect to. Make sure these are shiny. It sounds like you are not getting the right voltage. With a camera that old the contacts may have gotten some battery acid on them at some point.

My date is not getting set in bios

Change the CMOS battery.

If you had taken the time to post the computer manufacturer name, and model number; I would know what motherboard we're dealing with, and what type of CMOS battery it uses.

Generally the battery is a CR2032.
A type of watch battery.
Positive ( + ) side ALWAYS goes UP

Post back in a Comment.

Time and date are not set correctly

When the Date and Time is set in the BIOS setup or in Windows and when you boot up next time and the date and time are incorrect then the problem is a flat BIOS battery. A flat BIOS battery cannot keep the Data and Time stored in the BIOS. Replace the BIOS battery and set the Date and Time etc and the problem will be fixed.

Timex has two ways to find information about your particular watch. Some of these models only have a guide consisting of a few pages. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:

Complete Timex link site:
http://www.timex.com/info/Product_Instruction_Guides_Downloads

Now, look up the model number, or if you cannot find that, check the three-digit Module Number from the back of the watch. Click on it in the Module Table, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.

If you need further help, call Timex in Little Rock, Arkansas, phone 1-800-448-4639.

I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill

I would like my pc to be set the way it used to be.

The Way it use to be, When? Remember the date and restore the PC to that date or somewhere then, a few days here or there. How??? Go to Start->Accessories->System Tools->Restore. The PC would take a reboot before you are shifted back in time. But it would be restored to that date which is bold in the calender.

Change battery message

I am experiencing exactly the same problem with my Canon Powerhot S2IS. I tried the same thing to remedy it by cleaning off the contacts, but no luck. And it's not simply a cold weather problem. My camera does this with brand new Duracell batteries as well as with freshly recharged NMH batteries. What gives? I've had the camera for nealy 2 years and have taken excellent care of it.
