Dewalt dc385 blade replacement

This clamp design is not going to win any engineering awards for sure. These are very susceptible to getting packed with junk and if you disassemble, clean, lubricate it with Silicone spray and reassemble it should help tremendously. (Don't use WD40 or oil as these will attract and hold dirt and dust compounding your problem)
If it still hangs up I would replace the actuating lever - they tend to get bent / gouged and don't move the clamp all the way open.
Lastly, it there is a lot of side to side play in the shaft itself that could be the issue because the lever can't mover the clamp all the way. (If this is the case you will find it cheaper to purchase a new one than repair this one)

I had to disassemble the tool-less blade clamp on my Ridgid reciprocating saw. When I reassembled it the retention pin no longer moves back and forth when I flip the blade change lever (not sure if...

The spring loaded clamp sleve mechanically holds the blade pin down to hold the blade in place. It doesn't pull it up to release the blade but simply lets the pin float freely so the blade can be removed.

Blade stuck in reciprocating saw

The pin is probably stuck in the blade. This happens from time to time after they get dirty. Take some WD-40 or some other type of penetrating oil and spray a little in the blade holder while working the release lever. It will probably free right up.

The blade lever on my sawzall is stuck in the up position

oohh, that a tough one. you gotta, very carefully peal back the hand gaurd, the rubber where you hold onto it, at. Then releas the screws undeneath. Seems like you should be able to cycle the saw to its furthest out position, then remove the blade gaurd, uning some pliers of some sort you should be able to make the release, release.

Hope this helps

Pentax ME Super

Does the film advance lever lock in place when the lever is returned ? if not, the lock spring broke. This is a common weak point in the ME Super. the camera must be partially disassembled to be repaired. get a cost estimate first. there are no new parts for this model Pentax.

My husband has a BLACK & DECKER JS515 VARIABLE SPEED JIG SAW WITH QUICK CLAMP 3.5 AMP which i accidently broke the blade on...i cant figure out how to change the blade..any help would be greatly...

Here is a link to the instruction manual, and just under the place where it says Save These Instructions it tells you how to change the blade.
http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/90520882,JS515.pdf
Fitting the saw blade (figure A)
- Hold the saw blade (9) as shown, with teeth facing forward.
- Push the lever (3) downwards.
- Insert the shank of the saw blade into the blade holder (10) as far as it will go.
- Release the lever.

There is a little lever where the base of the blade fits into the holder that you depress to release the blade...You can see a picture of it in the manual.

I hope this answers your question...if so, please take a aec to rate this post...thanks.
