SOURCE: Tripp Lite OMNI 1000 LCD will not stay on

Turn UPS on: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for one second.
Run a Self-Test: Press and hold the MUTE/TEST button for two seconds (until alarm beeps several times).
The test will last 10 seconds. All LCD Display icons will be illuminated and the alarm will sound.
If the fault icon remains lit, the battery-supplied outlets are overloaded. Unplug powered devices until you remove the overload.
If the "Replace" icon remains lit and alarm continues to sound, the UPS batteries need to be recharged or replaced. Allow UPS to charge for 24 hours and repeat self-test.

Wait for the power to come back on. If it's already back on, unplug the unit from the wall, unplug all devices from the unit. Plug the unit in, turn it on, let it sit for an hour before reconnecting devices to it.

The power wents off and the batery got completly discharged , then i turn it on and run the self test and replace icon staid illminate but in the next self test didn't, i hace to replace the battery?

First tell how old is your UPS ?
if its older by two to three years may be the Battery eeds a replacement .Try charging the battery externally with a good battery chargers but before charging externally please take out the battery outside.
Then if the battery shows very low voltage even after charging for some 8 hours then you have one alternative that is replace with new battery.and promptly keep it under charge with out fail.

Line voltage indicator false indication of voltage variations

Voltmeters usually read RMS on ac volts therefore 120 volts is OK while the indicator is reading peak volts. If unit is operational there is no problem.

The power light comes on but the screen stays blank there is no picture or sound

Hi Judy
How old is your unit?
Probably your unit has leaky capacitor or shorted driver transistor.

UPS stopped working

I appreciate the suggestions. Let me add some additional detail that might help me get more helpful suggestions.

The display on the unit is completely blank (black) with nothing showing. I've tried unplugging everything from all outlets and pressing the on/off button and holding it for more than 1 sec. and no matter what I've tried the display won't show anything so there aren't any red lights, or visual clues what's going on. I only know that items plugged into the non-battery backed-up outlets work and items plugged into the batter backed-up outlets don't.
The owner's manual says it's not user serviceable and I've been able to find the compatible battery online, but I'm not inclined to spend the time/money until I feel more confident it will solve the problem.
Any thoughts on how to diagnose and then resolve the problem?

Thanks,
Randy

Picture went off still had sound then i turned off at panel now only red timer/standy stays lit sony 61" projection

First plug in again and look at led light, the amount it blinks tells what is wrong. Then if it stays lite it tells something also. You can try Display-channel 5-volume +- Power(service mode). Then Channel 8-enter(test reset). If this doesn't work then you will have to replace somethings like F601, R607, Q601, IC601, R612, VDR601.
