SOURCE: installing FUH cealing heater used 10-3 wire

If you use the white wire as a hot wire, you must identify the wire as being a hot wire at the breaker panel and the unit. The white
wire must be marked about 6 inches back from the terminal
connections with black paint or wrapped with black insulation tape.

It would be easier to use the red wire, since most electricians would identify it as being a hot wire

SOURCE: fahrenheat fuh 54 b does not run long enough to get garage warm

have you checked what the operating amps are vs. the amps provided by the outlet. Sounds like you are trying to pull to much load and the machine probably has a saftey to where it shuts down bofore it buns itself up. Hope this helps. You have to be real careful about overloading circuts.

SOURCE: Installed my second Fahrenheat FUH

Could be either. But, I suspect that wiring is getting hot enough to trip the breaker. Check all of your wiring to see if there is a hot spot or insulation melted.

The wire in my house for an elec. garage heater is 14 gauge wire with a 15 amp breaker. I assume i need at least 10 gauge wire with 20 amp .The heater is 20.9 amps and 3000-5000 watts, with 17500 BTUs

Curt, a 20 amp breaker will blow if you pull 10.9 amps from it. I suggest having a licensed electrician do your wiring. Likely, you need a permit anyway.

Hello I have a Fahrenheat Ceiling-Mount Industrial Heater 240v rated. Can I use a 220 plug to wire it and connect it to my 220 aux plug in my garage? If so how should I wire it to the heater itself?

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

you will have to install a 30 amp breaker, and make sure the wire is rated for 40 amps, or 110% of 30 amps, you can wire direct to the heater if you wish.

Need instructions on how to install a 750W Fahrenheat heater. Wire size, breaker size, etc.

Hi,
To know what to tell you you need to know if it is 1 phase or 3 phase and what the voltage is that it will be running on...

Assuming that it is 240v 1 phase current you will need at least a 40 amp 2 pole breaker and #8 wire for a distance of upto about 100 ft. if longer then you need to go up to #6 wire....

7500 watts / 240v equals 31.25 amps... so a thirty to too small and you will need the 40....

Wire sizing needs to go larger as the run gets longer...

I have a farenheat fuh 54 b the fan turns slow until I tilt it towards the floor and then it spins fine. Checked for loose or broken wires and found none.

I would clean fan blades and motor housing. Blow out motor with compressed air if possible and check for oil ports on both ends of motor housing. If your motor has oil ports they may have plastic or aluminum plugs in them. If so remove themand put 3-4 drops of fine grade oil in. I hope this helps. Thanks

When specs say circuit requirement is 40, do they mean the breaker size?

What are you wiring?
Does it seem realistic that you need 40 Amp capacity?

40 Amp circuit breaker is usually 240 Volt and it goes to heat pump, double oven, or some heavy equipment. 40 amp breaker uses 8 gauge wire.

You can figure a circuit with the formula V x A = Watt
If your VA is 7500 Watts and voltage is 240, then Amps is 31.25

I have the Fahrenheat Model FUH 724 heater. The manual states that it can be wired as a 240v 7500W unit but the directions and the unit itself only allow for three wires to be connected Black, White, and...

1st you will belucky if you actually have 240 v, most
homes are usually 220v. In youyr case you need to start at the breaker panel.

This is an example:
You have a Double Pole Single Throw breaker. Black
Wire is hot and goes into one side of breaker,if you havea red wire that goes into the other have of the
breaker.

The white wire ties in the nuetral bar and the bare wire into the ground bus bar. At the unit you hook up the red and the black wire which will supply the 240
Volts, you could tie the white and the ground wires together into the grounding terminal
