I want to use my blackberry 8520 as modem to my laptop

Yes. I used to do that before 3G became popular.
The Dial Code depends on the country and carrier. I used *666#
Set Up a Dial-up Connection
You'll need to set up a dial-up connection on your Windows machine to use the BlackBerry modem. When you installed the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, it should have automatically installed the modem drivers to use with your device, and you should have a modem called "Standard Modem" in the Phone andModem Options section of your Control Panel. The drivers are located in the following folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Modem Drivers. Use the following steps to set up your connection:
  1. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer using the standard USB cable that came with your device and start the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software.
  2. Go to the Control Panel, then Network Connections, and select Create a New Connection.
  3. Select Connect to the Internet, then Set up my connection manually, then Connect using a dial-up modem, and select your BlackBerry modem from the device list.
  4. Choose a descriptive name for the ISP Name (e.g., BlackBerry Modem Connection).
  5. Enter the phone number for your service provider. You'll probably have to check with your carrier to get the right number. For Cingular and other GSM carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile), it's *99#. For CDMA providers (Sprint, Verizon), the number will be #777.
  6. The username and password will vary by carrier as well. Cingular just accepts null values for both fields.
  7. Complete the wizard, being sure to deselect the "Make this the default connection" checkbox.

HOW DO I CONNECT MY HUDL FOR EMAILS

Verify the Hudl criteria for passwords. You may be using - for example - a ? in a 15 character PW, and Hudl only allows 8 character PW's and will not permit the use of the character "?". See where I'm going here? I have about 7 websites that have specif criteria that will not let me generate my typical 15-19 full character set PW's, so I modify the PW to meet their needs. We both win.

I cannot connect to any kind of internet using my netbook. It will occasionally say I am connected but have limited internet access. I have an Aspire one netbook. Our desktop computer is still able to...

Check your Internet properties/connection configuration. Is it set to connect with a specific IP address? Check with the person who set up your system for you - I believe it should have no addresses and connect with whatever address the modem will give it.

You may have to delete your connections and start over, creating new connections with each modem seperatly.

Internate connection on pc

I assume you are trying to use the Blackberry as a modem and connect to your computer to connect to the internet. It is possible. All you need is a data plan from your servcie provider and the desktop manager software. In case your CD that came with the device is unusable, you can freely download the software from your service provider's website. Once the software is downloaded, run it and connect your Blackberry to the computer and then set the modem settings as detailed in the link below:
