Could be a wire short,bad defrost heater, or comp. pulling too many amps which is between 2 and 6 or higher being bad. I would say the main problem is you purchased a LG fridge which is a poorly made fridge,sorry.

SOURCE: freezer working fine but fridge isn't

Either the damper that the air flows up through is closed or the return air flow vents are blocked with clear ice.

Do you feel the air come out all the way at the top of the duct assembly when the freezer door is opened (but it then stops when the door is closed)?

If so, then it sounds like your return air flow vents are clogged. These are located to the left and right of the duct assembly in the rear/bottom of the refrigerator section. Sometimes you may have to slowly pour hot water into these vents to get the clear ice to thaw. The water should go down into the freezer section behind the evaporator and then out the drain in the back.

If you do not get the air to flow out the top of the duct assembly then the damper is staying shut. This could be either a bad damper in the duct assembly or the main board my not be sending voltage to the damper. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Refrigerator LG Model GR-T452G freezer works but

Locate your defrost timer, they are either in the buttom front of the refrigerator, in back of the refrigerator, or inside compartment behind the plastic covers. On the defrost timer there is a slot were it can be turned using a screwdriver, or there is a round window were you can see it running.when you turn this dial and it clicks, you should now go into defrost. with all the ice build up in your evaporator you should hear the ice cracking indicating that the heaters are working, if not you might have open defrost heaters.

It's not clogged full of ice behind the cover plate? That happens often - the defrost timer dies, and the evaporator packs solid with ice.

If that's not the case, then... does the fan rotate when the power is turned on? If not, suspect the (defrost timer) controller board. If it does, look for obstructions to airflow.

Lrtp1231w refrigerator is not geting cold but freezer works good what part should i change

I don't know how your unit works but most have a thermostat that opens a vent between the freezer and the fridge allowing cold air into the fridge compartment. you probably need a new thermostat
which looks like a wire with a tube on the end, check for a service manual on the manufacturers website to find part numbers and diagrams

Your problem could be one of the following:

* compressor
* attachments to compressor (e.g.: relay, capacitor (if applicable) or overload protector)
* refrigerant (e.g.: restriction or leak)
* temperature control assembly

Contact an appliance service company.

It sounds like the defrost element is faulty and is causing a leakage to earth when the unit comes onto defrost cycle. Check the defrost element in the freezer compartment behind a panel cover.
