SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: log2(0.25)

Unfortunately the 531 cannot do this calculation. you need to first convert the log into a base 10 log - this means it will be log 0.25 divided by log 2 and it should give you minus 2.
However, if you would like a calculator that can do that calculation directly, try out the EL-535.

If you have any more questions there is a dedicated website where you can leave questions about the SHARP calculators on the student page and they will be answered within a week maximum.

The Casio FX-300MS does not provide base 2 logarithms as a single key operation. However, you can use the natural logarithm (ln, base e = 2.7182818...) and the formula

log2 ( x ) = ln( x ) / ln( 2 )

To calculate the base 2 logarithm of 16, key in
[ln] 16 [/] [ln] 2 [=]
and get displayed the correct answer 4.

The same simple formula also works for any other base, and actually for any other logarithms provided by your calculator. The FX-300MS also provides a logarithm to base 10 (lg). You could also
[lg] 16 [/] [lg] 2 [=] to get the solution to the problem above, or
[lg] 25 [/] [lg] 5 [=] to get the base 5 logarithm of 25.

How can I calculate Log2 2.5 on my calculator.. since everytime I start entering it i start by pressing log and right away it says ERROR.. by the way the 2 right after log is suposed to be a little 2.

First of all, to compute the log of a number, enter the number first then press the LOG key.

Second, to compute the log to a base b other than e or 10, use the relationship
logb(x) = log(x) / log(b) = ln(x) / ln(b)
You can use either the common log (log) or the natural log (ln), as long as you're consistent.

So, to calculate log2(2.5), press
2 . 5 log / 2 log =
2 . 5 ln / 2 ln =

How to type log base 2

You can't. However, you can calculate the log base 2 of any number by calculating

log2(x) = log(x)/log(2) = ln(x)/ln(2)

That is, the log base 2 of any number is the log of that number divided by the log of 2.

You cannot do it with a single key. Rather you use the relation
log in base a of b = log_a(b)=log(b) /log(a)
So log2 5 =log(5)/log(2)

Log2 x = 2.5

If the Log2 stands for log in base 2.then
2^(log2 x)= 2^(5/2)
But 2^ (log2 x) =x, so solution is x =2^(5/2).
All that is left for you to do is to calculate 2^(5/2) or 2^(2.5) or square root of (2^5) or square root of 32. and you find x.

I hope yours is a similar problem.

The calculator must be in MATH mode or it will not work.
press the log button as the useless manual says then 2 then the right arrow on the replay button and then the number you want the log2 off..
Hey presto a correct answer
