Have a VGA monitor, RS-232 touch and PS/2 POS keyboard (so limited keys!) to share between two PC's. I want to have keyboard control to swap between PC's as a backup as I'd like one PC to grab and release the peripherals as it needs them so a non-standard KVM switch that can be stored under the desk.
Looked at
http://www.cable-trader.co.uk/category.php?cat=129&kw=mouse%20switch&gclid=CJq_gMjzpZoCFYh_3godhjRz7w and would use adapters to put the RS-232 through the serial mouse (or even the audio connections!) but can't see how one PC can grab and release (can the PC send keyboard codes to the KVM?) and no details on the keyboard codes.
