SOURCE: What does "F1" mean? The oven is out!

I think f1 is a problem with the oven control board. Look on the back of the oven for a tech sheet and it will tell you what the codes mean and what to check.

Hello, and sorry to read about your problem.

Since you reset the power and still have the problem, it sounds like you have a general main board failure,

I suggest you call a service company

I tried to help you. Please help me and vote/rate my response thanks.

We r getting an f1 and e1 showing on our crosley gas range

Hi Anonymous, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Typically, error code F1 on your Crosley gas range indicates that your range has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to your range by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about ten minutes. If the error code persists, most likely the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) or RTD Probe (Resistance Temperature Detector) will need replacing. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your range to its normal operating condition. Best regards - Z.

After a power outage / low current power problem this evening, my whirlpool range, Model # SF315PEKW0 started beeping annoyingly, and displayed the following code F1 E1. Also, after, the oven would not...

The "F1-E1" fault code signifies an EEPROM checksum failure within the electronic oven control. Disconnect power to the range for longer than 30 seconds. Re-apply power and observe the display for longer than a minute. If the failure remains, disconnect power and replace the electronic oven control board.

Oven door wont unlock/open

Hi,

E1 and F1 error code indicates a faulty ERC board. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing. Gain access inside the control panel.Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.Turn the power back on. Wait for an hour to see if the code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound). If code comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Thank you !!

Error on display F1 & E1 Stove will not start

HI. This is a safety flip flop error code, caused by damaged circuitry within the electronic control board. This will require you to have the control replaced asap. This will correct the issue.

Part number (for white control) #3196971
Part Number (for black control) #3196970

My kenmore oven is beeping and will not stop. the display shows F-1.

Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacment of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal checksum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

F1 code on display pad

That error means the main control board has a internal failure. The board will have to replaced to fix that issue. If you need detailed repair help with that visit the link below:

Kenmore oven/range

F1-E1 - EEPROM Checksum Error - Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect.
Allow at least a minute after power has been restored and if error code reappears, replace control board (clock).

Roper gas range Model# FGS337GQ

Here are the codes for you range:

F0 - E0 Analog to Digital Failure Disconnect for 30 seconds - if display re-appears - replace control F1 - E1 Safety flip flop Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC) F2 - E0 Shorted keypad Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC) F3 - E0 Oven temperature sensor or oven temperature sensor fuse opened Replace oven temperature sensor or fuse F3 - E1 Oven temperature sensor shorted Replace oven temperature sensor F3 - E2 Oven too hot Replace oven temperature sensor F3 - E3 Clean temp too hot Replace oven temperature sensor F5 - E0
F5 - E1 and E2 Door latch problem Check door/latch switch, replace if necessary

Looks like yours is a bad oven control. There is a # at the end of your model # 0-5 that will determine which control it takes. Once you have that # you can look it up at http://www3.sears.com/ Looks like the part costs about $165.
