yes i've heard of the same problem, one of my friends had that problem its more than likely the ds its self and u would probly have to return it for a new one if it still does not work then i dont really know.
2. Go to Settings (Little icon on the bottom of the touch screen)
3. Select Pink button
4. Select "GBA Mode" (pink button on the right)
5. Select "Touch screen"
NOTE:
This is mainly affective for GBA games, not DS games unfortunately. If you are really that desperate to play DS games properly, then either hope you can still claim it on warranty and/or buy a brand new DS (maybe even the new DSi).
My mic doesnt work properly, so i have to get at a certain angle to use it. I have sorta the same problem, so here's my answer. If you play Mario Kart DS, and are plaing the Balloon battle game, get a fan to blow into it. Works every time!
Turn the ds on without a game in it and go to the settings icon (looks
like a tiny ds) on the bottom middle of the screen then go to the far
right yellow icon and it will re-calibrate the touch screen and let you
know if calibration was a success.
