Question about Dryers
How do i fix this problem i know error code f10 means Common of heater open or one shot open
If you remove the back cover of the drier with the appliance un pluged, you will see the heater bracket.
un screw this from the back panel, and at the top you will see three thermostats. There is a brown one with a small hole in the middle, if you use a pin and press in, you should hear a click. This resets the thermostat and you should be able to use the drier again.
Apparently a common fault on these indicit based driers.
it worked on mine

** remove power from ANY appliance before comencing investigation **
On ours, the thermostat with the hole could only be found by removing the screws that hold the heater assembly, as the hole was not vissible without doing this (it appaered that there were only two silver thermostats, when in fact there are definately 3.
pushing a pin through the hole gently until a click was heard and then reassebling the dryer cured the F-10 and F-8 issues.

Thank you soooooo much crash. I'm a mere feeble woman and short of cash too, so calling out a repairer was out of the question. I've followed your instructions and its working perfectly. I am sooo proud of me too for biting the bullet and tackling this myself. xxx

Many thanks, this was very helpful.
Side note, ours only had 2 thermostats, in our case it was the brown one on the left, with an hol in the middle, this clicked when pushed with a pin.

I had an hotpoint ctd85 that triped the rcd, found the mica holding the heater elements in place was damp (beyond repair) replaced with new heater now ok. prior to that i also re-soldered most of the joints on the control pcb this seemed to cure the fault codes associated with the heater relay
