Re: HeLp !

That's the Binary code. You have to change it back to the Decimal code. Try to change it back with the shift and Mode buttons

If it is not accessible (grayed out) then the context is inappropriate. The reason could be the misuse of the verb solve. A lot of people confuse calculate with solve.

If you care to tell us what you were trying to do, exactly, maybe we can help.

Hi,

This calculator does not have a Solve function or a solver. However this example of yours is very simple that you can do it by hand. If you do not mind I will show you how to solve it. Not everything needs a calculator.

You want to solve for x. OK

You want to solve for x. OK

- Start by gathering similar terms 4x-x =3x; -13+5 =-8
- Rewrite your equation as 3x+1=2x-8
- Make the +1 change side while changing its sign
- 4x+1 -1 = 2x-8 -1 or 4x=2x-9
- Make +2x on the Right hand side go to the left hand side, changing its sign in the process 4x-2x=-9 or 2x=-9
- Divide both members by 2. This gives
- x=-9/2 or -4.5 if a decimal result is required.

Sorry the solution was posted as a clarification request. Here it is at the right place.

Hi,

Left side-Right side = 0 or a very small number.

If the solution cannot be found you will be prompted to change the initial value (your guess) and/or the bounds. Hope it helps.

Hi,

- Turn calculator ON.
- Look for the NumSolve icon.
- Tap the icon.
- The
equation editor screen opens with the word Equation: on one line and a
small rectangle on the next one.
- At the position of the rectangle, type
in the equation.
- Do not forget the right hand side.
- Press [EXE].

- Tap the radio button next to a variable and
enter a value for a parameter.
- Repeat for all known values.
- Last, enter
a guess for the unknown you are solving for and
- set the bounds between which you suspect the solution to be.
- While the radio button for the
unknown is still checked, tap the Solve Menu at the top of the screen,
- select Execute submenu and
- press [EXE].
- Alternatively you can tap the Solve at the left of the toolbar.(see picture).

Left side-Right side = 0 or a very small number.

If the solution cannot be found you will be prompted to change the initial value (your guess) and/or the bounds. Hope it helps.

Hello,

It may help to have the Brand and model of the calculator. But I suspect you pressed a Mode button, which gives you different configurations (modes of operations) for the calculator. If I guessed right you will have to enter a number between 0 and 3. If mode is not what you want, try a new number each time.

Hope it helps.

Hello,

Since I do not see the kind of screen you have, I surmise (maybe wrongly) that the split screen is activated.

Press [MODE]. Use [DownArrow] to scroll to where is says Full Horiz G-T. Highlight FULL and [ENTER] Then [2nd][QUIT].

If that does not solve the problem

[2nd][MEM] [7:Reset][2:defaults][2:Reset]

Hope it helps.

It sounds like there is a printer error. Take of the cover where the paper is. There should be a little ink roller. Try taking this out and look in and see if the rubber band with the numbers on it is broken. If so, the machine is not worth repairing, unless you can get it replace under warranty. If it is not broken, try turning the machine on and off with the ink roll out of the machine. This should reset the print head as long as nothing is in there jamming it up. Good luck
