Question about Haier Washing Machines
Machine works to the rinse or spin cycle them goes out of balance, throws all the clothes to one side, throwing machine out of balance, i redistribute clothes and it throws them to one side of drum again and again, have to rearrange them 6 - 10 plus times till it spins
Could be the springs are wearing out. some haier models I have seen start the spin at full motor speed, which could be part of the problem.

I suggest you stick to the maximum load capacity (or less) of the machine; and not over-load the machine with clothes.

SOURCE: spin cycle noise
Most likely, your pulley is coming off, my pulley mad that knocking sound for a year before the belt fell off and I had to address it. see the previous post on how to fix this issue.

Check the lid switch. Through out time the lid switch housing can come apart from years of heat and cold. When I checked mine, I found the glue deterriated and the housing came apart. What I did to fix it is I zipped tied the housing together and did a functional check and it worked.
