SOURCE: kenmore gas dryer
That model does not have a pilot light. It has an electronic ignitor. If it is not igniting, either the igniter is not getting a signal to ignite, the igniter is burned out, or the gas solenoid is broken. Probably the igniter is burned out. It is item number 3018 at RepairClinic.com.

does the dryer heat initially when you first turn on the dryer Or no heat at all?
the first thing i would check is tthe thermal fuse thats located on the back of the unit. test it with a multimeter and see if it has continuity, if it doesnt then replace that and your operating thermostat. the check to be sure you venting to the outside of your house is not clogged

first, check to make sure gas present to unit, and power to the ignitor. if no power, replace timer, if power, check the ignitor for continuity, if open, replace. If ok, check to make sure none of the thermostats are open, if they are, replace. If ok, check gas valve solonoids, they should not appear melted or stuck, if so replace. If still no function, replace gas valve.
