What is the standard arm length for patterns? I have shorter arms and don't know how much to shorten my pattern

measure your arm from back of shoulder with elbow bent to the wrist bone, of both arms cause some times people are different. then measure the same spot in the pattern down the back of the sleeve you can fold the pattern to represent your arm bent, see what the difference is. if it is not a major amount you can turn it up in hem or cut it off after you get the item done.
if you need to shorten the pattern take a small fold on the lengthen or shorten line to take up the difference in your measure to the arms. depending how fitted it is around the chest/bust area this will factor into the final fit.

Cricut machines power supplies

18 volts is the voltage and the thing that is most critical to stop the machine burning out.

The 'A' - amperage is the force behind the electricity, 2.0 is a sort of fairly strong person 2.5 amps is a muscle man.

If the piece of equipment needs a muscle man to move it and you use a weaker person, it may not move quite so fast. Good analogy?

Anyway, .5 amps is not going to make that much difference.

What's the extended grip for?

The extended grip allows a lower grip position. The low grip is useful on steep traverses so you won't have to shorten the length of your pole.

Ive got a 10x10 lawn and party gazebo made by summer rite ... do you know where to get instructions ?

Okay, Here it goes.

_1429.jpg
First lay out all of the parts by number (little stickers on poles) or sizes if the stickers are gone.

_1430.jpgTake

Take the 1's and 2's and connect them together creating one big pole that will act as one of the roof peak structures. If you have lost your numbers, these two poles should be the two middle sized poles (4 of each).

Then connect each end of #1 to the center peak piece

_1431.jpg
_1432.jpg

Once all four combined poles (1 and 2) are attached to the center piece, add the pole brace pieces to each end of the bottom or #2 Piece.
_1433.jpg
Once this is done, combine two number 3's with one 4 (the 4 being in the middle of the two with both silver metal fasteners on the #3 poles facing outwards)

_1440.jpg

Then connect each end of the combined poles to the end piece.

_1443.jpg
_1450.jpg
Now lay out the final set of poles (# 5 and 6), but only connect the #5 pole to the end piece first, all around the gazebo.

_1448.jpg
_1449.jpg
Okay, now we want to start adding the actual canopy. Start by pulling the corners down at each pole joint then velcroing the tarp underneath in the middle of the 3-4-3 combined pole.

_1451.jpg
_1452.jpg
_1453.jpg
_1454.jpg
Now it is safe to connect the next set of poles (#6) to the leg poles (#5). Make sure the end with the 3 drilled holes are closest to the ground. On each end of the tarp legs there is a silver hook. Hook this into the 1st hole in the pole for support.

_1455.jpg
_1456.jpg
Connect the foot cap to the end of each pole and then connect the plastic o ring to the connector on the foot piece and readjust the silver hook as needed to either hole 2 or 3 (see photos).

_1457.jpg
_1458.jpg
_1459.jpg
_1460.jpg
Then the final parts are easy, secure any velcro straps to the legs, then use the stakes to stake down the whole thing and you may use the secure ropes as needed though I tend two just put two stakes in each foot piece at different angles.

Congratulations !!!!! Your Summer Rite Gazebo is ready for festivities. Hope this helps !!!

I have a Ryan's Room tent, and some of the plastic pieces that make the frame of the camping-style tent broke. How can I get a replacement part?

We had the same issue. Here's my solution.

Each tent pole is composed of 49.5 inches of half inch pvc pipe cut into three 16.5 inch pieces. This can be purchased at any hardware store. You can cut it into three pieces like the original and string an elastic line through it or just keep a piece of 49.5 inch pipe in storage to use when needed.

Centre pole is failing to hold tent up in any real wind

TRY DRILLING A SMALL HOLE ON THE INNER POLE SLIGHTLY SMALLER THAN THE DIAMETER OF THE SCREW. U WILL WANT TO DRILL SMALL HOELS EVERY FEW INCHES(CM) SO THAT U WILL BE ABLE TO SET THE POLE AT VARIOUS HEIGHTS IN THE FUTURE.

Hi i need to cut down ( shorten) sewing machine needles for an old industrial overlocker. they are about 10mm too long in the shank, can i use the abrasive disks or better to get the diamond cut off disk...

I would use the diamond disk and plenty of cutting oil to reduce the chance of loosing the temper in the steel and weeking the needles.
Hope this helps.

My shower pole caddy is either too tall using the tension spring or too short without. How do I make the adjustment. The pole sits on the tub.

I had the same problem. The only solution is to cut the shorter rod to the desired size. After I cut it, it fits perfectly over the bathtub. Hope this helps!

How do u erect a lichfield challenger 5 tent ?

Peg out 2 back pegs of inner tent. Peg out 2 front then side pegs. Place smaller pointed pole through hole at bell end of inner tent from inside, longer pole through hole at front.Fit protective bases to each pole. Top pointed poles with separators. Assemble roof pole, put through loop and over separators. Throw outer tent over from bell end (needs 2 people) then carefully lead towards front til holes in roof match - back hole first. Fit rain hoods front and back. Peg outer tent from bell end first then back corners, front corners then sides. Place porch poles through holes at front of porch, zip door sides down with one person holding poles upright and taut and peg out door. Peg sides all along making sure they do not touch inner tent. Fix guy ropes.
