One of the internal light filter (polarizer) has burned a hole in it. HEre is a video that show replacement in a similar machine. PArts were obtained for 150 from Mitsubishi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_wgbnArcu8&feature=share

The model indicated uses what is called a Optical Light Engine, it is a very expensive part and likely is your problem---not much else will cause this trouble.

Go to menu ,now go to setup see if convergence is on menu if not then fuse FL231 is opened 0.6 amps it is located on right side of flyback transfomer the fuse in the middle they look like small square capacitors brown there is 3 in a roll.

how old is the tv ??
if this tv is older than 5 years it may need to refill the liquid on the proyection bulbs and/or could have contaminats in the fluid causing the ghost and to fix that you will need a professional person to do it

  2. if this will not fix problem
  3. then you have a convergence problem
  4. You will need the Converg. Kit
