Yes. Both leads need to have +12v for the device to function.

Yes. You can run a bypass to the battery to make it work.

How do i connect Pioneer DEH-P4700MP at home

If you are looking to connect this radio at home, you will first need some kind of 12V DC power supply with an operating range anywhere between 9-16V. You can purchase these online or at most electronics retailers (Radio Shack, Fry's Electronics, etc.). Simply connect the constant memory power wire (yellow) and switched accessory power wire (red) from the Pioneer's wiring harness to the "+" terminal on the power supply and the ground (black) wire of the Pioneer to the "-" terminal on the power supply. Make sure to have at least one speaker connected to the speaker output leads of the Pioneer for sound. The speaker connections are as follows: Front Left + (white) FL - (white/black stripe), F Right + (gray) FR - (gray/black), Rear L + (green) RL - (green/black) RR + (violet) RR - (violet/black). And that's it! Sound at home with your Pioneer radio!
I hope this information was helpful.

Hi All, I have a peugeot 206 and when I enter my four digit code into radio everything OK until I turn off ignition, then I have to input number again. Is there something else I have to do to stop this...

It looks as though the "permanent battery" feed to your radio is missing.

There are 2 battery supplies to your radio ; the main one via the ignition switch that switches the radio on/off and the permanent battery feed that supplies battery to the radio memory.

Check your fuses and connections at the rear of the radio

Hi, I Changed car battery on my Toyota Camry '93 and now my CD player/radio doesn't work?

Make sure that you have 12Vdc at the rear of the Radio and at the CD player. If not check the fuses and repalce if necessary. You will also most likely need to enter a 4 to 10 digit code on your radio to get it to work again.

Hi my yellow battery lead with the fuse

Are you using AMPs? You may have everything connected right but, when you turn it on the battery doesn't have enough supply to operate the system. This happen to me and I had to change my alternator, and battery.

Hello duval00143,

All you need is a 12V power supply. Just connect the car receiver power and accessory leads to the 12V + output and the ground from the receiver to 12V - output. Connect your speakers normally.

Many online electronics parts suppliers have such power supplies. Or you can get one from your local Radio Shack. If you have an old computer somewhere, you can use the power supply from it.

Hope this helps.

It sounds as if the power leads are not connected properly.

Make sure the memory lead is connected to a constant 12+ volt source, and the switched lead is connected to a 12+ volt power source that is controlled by your ignition switch.

Subwoofers not working While listening to CD

The remote turn on lead for the subwoofer amplifier has been connected to the power antenna lead (solid blue) of the radio. It just needs to be connected to the radios amplifier turn on lead (blue with white stripe).

Sound problem

sounds like you have the antenna wire connected to the power amplifer lead in the car.

Go behind the radio, there is a solid blue wire that will be connected to a wire in the car, take the solid blue wire off, and connect the blue/white from the radio to where the solid blue was originally connected. This should solve your problem

Sony cdx mp70

It may be that the remote lead on the amp has been connected to the auto antenna lead on the radio instead of the amp remote lead and because the auto antenna goes down when the cd is inserted it is turning off you amplifier, check the connections behind the radio or if there is a light on the amp check if the light goes out when you insert a cd
