Question about Buffalo Technology MiniStation Computers & Internet
The light comes on and the computer makes the noise that a device is attached; however, it doesn't show up in my computer. I cannot download an updated driver from the manufacturer because it says the serial number on the back is invalid. Some of the writing is in Korean, so I'm not exactly sure what it says. It has all of my travel pictures on it, so I need to know how to access it, or how to back up the data so I can format it for my computer.
Assuming the drive is not defective, try connecting it to a linux computer. Could be a flie system incompatibility issue.

MY KINGSTON DATA TRAVELER SAY WRITE PROTECTED HOW CAN I FORMAT IT CAUSE WHEN I FORMAT IT DIRECTLY IT SAY DEVICE IS WRITE PROTECTED BUT MY USB DEVICE DOES NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF SPECIFICATION TO HAVE A WRITE PROTECT DISK.
I had same problem. I fix it with suggestion of 1st guest. I download program from site http://www.apacer.com/en/support/downloads/Repair_v184.108.40.206.zip, and program formated USB and he work fine now. TY for advice.
