You have a part failing in the power section of the tv. If it is under warranty you might want to take it in. If it isn't get a estimate before spending any money as sometimes repairs are as much as a new tv.
Having said that if it is out of warranty and if you don't want to spend the money right now keep using it until it totally dies. It actually is easier to figure out whats wrong with a dead part than it is with one failing like yours.

i have the exact same problem with my tv but the thing is that mine would would work for the first 4 seconds then it would black out
