I guess your camera has the message turn off the camera and turn on again.
This message will occur when the camera has any malfunction. Could be caused because you obstructed the lens while focusing or zooming. Could be lots of other things.
If the switching is not enough and you observed the lens is retracting complete when switching off. Please remove the battery for a little while. Perhaps you could use the time to recharge the battery. Then when you replace the battery and the camera still gives this error, there is only one thing you can do: Please contact a FujiFilm dealer.

A slight squeaking/beeping noise when camera is turned off and on

Ciould be the camera is cleaning it's sensor. Try turning that feature off to see if the noise goes away. If yes, that's your noise. Then turn the option back on. It's good to have your camera clean the sensor.

Camera turns on, and then turns off again right away

My M1033 had the same problem...I found a blog about someone using air to clean around the lens area...I cleaned my lens very thoroughly and noticed some gunk and once I cleaned this off, the camera seems to work like new!

Turn on and turn off

Look at the back of the camera(with the lens facing away from you). To the left of the big knob on top of the camera, there are 2 slots with buttons or switches in them. The second one to the left away from the big knob is the power on-off button. On the edge of the slot it reads "on-off".

Zoom lens is stuck out at akk times and it keeps reading zoom erroe

Point the camera away from you as if to take a photo. Gently pull the lens away from yourself, when you feel a click, turn the lens anti-clockwise while looking at the back of the camera or clockwise while looking at the front. If it won't move, don't use undue force!

Lens motor is shot. If an older camera- buy a new one a repair will cost nearly as much. If young-[less than a year] send it back
