Spray a little starting fluid in the carb. If it still won't fire look at the ignition parts.

Craftsman gas chainsaw will not start

Back to the basics-- Make sure there you have Compression, Spark and Fuel. If you have the three basic necessities and still not able to start than we can be 98 percent sure your problem is in the carb.
Remove Carb, with proper eye protection, spray several blasts of Carb cleaner in every hole, inlet and outlet several times. Be sure to open / close throttle while doing so.
Before evaporation of cleaner takes place, use compressed air and blow out while following the path application of the cleaning solvent.
Some people say to remove carb, disassemble and soak over-night--I don't ever have time to do that-- Do you? Probably not. This should work out just fine.

16.5HP Honda engine wont run

An engine needs fuel air and spark to run. Is the air filter clean. Use a "spark checker" to see if you have spark. They are not expensive and available at stores that sell lawn mower parts. Is the spark plug clean? If it is not clean it with a wire brush.Squirt some starting fluid into the carb. If it fires your gas has gone bad or it is not getting gas. If it has sat a while gas does go bad so drain the fule tank and out in fresh gas.

17 hp briggs stratton ohc

Clean or change air filter. Clean, gap or change spark plug. Empty gas tank add fresh gas with Stabil. When spark plug is removed pull rope several times to blow out cylinder. Spray starter fluid in spark plug hole before replacing spark plug. Clean outside of carb so choke works freely. Spray starter fluid into carb breather hole with air filter removed and try to start. if running replace air filter and cover. If no start disassemble carb and clean. If no start replace carb.

Craftsman chainsaw has no power

I would first check your muffler and screen in muffler to make sure it's not partially plugged. Personally I think it sounds like a fuel delivery problem,I would make sure you change your Fuel filter and check your lines for being cracked and or collapsing from ethonal in gas these days. then I would put fresh gas in it and see if it also need to clean carb and then readjusr carb after cleaning carb

I have a Craftsman 2-cycle blower/vac and its only 3 years old and have changed out the spark plug and fresh mixed gas and still won't start. I need some help anyone know?

Check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old. Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid, permanent damage. May need to clean or replace carburetor.

Craftsman hand held gas leaf blower will not start. I have put in fresh gas, changed spark plugs, cleaned the gas filter, tested for spart and it does spark, changed the air filter but all this and still...

If it has a spark then try spraying some starter fluid on the air filter. If it attempts to run then the carburator is stopped up. If it doesn't then you most likely have low compression. Remove the spark plug and screw in a compression tester and pull the starter a few times. It has to have no less than 70 psi to fire and run. 90+ would be even better. If it is 50 and below try pouring a little oil in the spark plug hole and repeat the test. If it improves a little then you have a scored cylinder or piston or stuck or broken piston rings. Let me know what you learn and I'd be glad to walk you through some more.
