Right click my computer, go to properties, then advanced, click the settings button under the proformance selection, then click "adjust for best proformance", this will remove alot of effects you dont need that will make your computer run faster.

I don't believe in any speed optimizer. Once you computer enters the slow-cow syndrome, nothing will speed it up - just as you can't speed up a slow cow.. Clean it, defrag it, check for malware but expectation to speed it is ZERO.
In most cases all you can do is live with it till you can, then backiup your data and reinstall windows

Apps and other items on facebook not responding

First, small size of RAM makes computer slow.Secondly, corrupt windows registry causes freezing in computer. The third most important thing that you can do to optimize your Facebook is to optimize your internet connection.
So it is recommended you use a system utilities software that provides the feature of internet optimizer. I would recommend to use RegInout. Also remove unwanted add-ons/extensions from your browser.
It is also recommended to clean system junk and browsers junk.

When playing music of cds or dvds or on internet he sound seems to be a bit fuzzy or slows down

Try using external speakers first. this will tell you if the laptop speakers (never the best) are failing. If you get clear sound on externals, this is the problem.
If you still get the problem, then the issue is with the sound chip or a damaged sound driver
Try downloading the latest sound driver for the laptop and OS, if that fails, you may need to look at getting an external sound card.

The only other thing that springs to mind here, and notably if you get the problem whilst on the internet, is that the RAM in the laptop is being stretched, if you are using Vista or Windows 7 and have less then 1GB, I'd consider installing more ram and then fragmenting the hard drive / deleting garbage files to give the laptop some "fighting room" to run applications

Computer is very slow< also a low signal on WI FI

Hey Racebooker,

You can solve this problem by:

-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk

do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Thank You...

It is too slow too when start and i cant play dvds

Dear user,

Slow start could because of too many applications included while booting, please disable the unwanted applications like skype/yahoo/gmail/msn by changing their auto load settings,

next download some disk cleaner software , normally most give the start up edit options from here you can easily remove unwanted apps.

Also your anti virus takes up time on boot specially AVG, try using some other anti virus and some antivirus may be performing background scanning thus slowing down your PC, try to disable this if possible.

I have a dell computer and its running slow

Disk Clean up is a small percentage of what you need to do. As you go by installing and uninstalling programs a lot of debris of programs keeps the Windows Registry bloating more and more. And each time you give a command it has to read the registry which takes time. And you feel the computer is slowing down.
Go to and download CCleaner free and install it. Run it and clean up the registry and all others extra baggage that slows the computer down. And wach your PC/laptop gallop after that.
