If you mean a chrome with serrated edges then that is a screw type ring that screws on the toggle switch on the outside to hold the switch tight in place against the body of the grinder. Place the ring over the toggle and hold the switch in place and screw the little ring on until tight.

How to replace a bulb in a homedics soundspa lullaby model SS3000, and where to get one.

I apologize if this is posted twice. I looked into the light only coming on momentarily. The light is a LED that appears to be soldered in. To disassemble:
1. Remove the 3 rubber feet from the bottom of the unit - just pry them out.
2. Remove the screws from the holes that the rubber feet we in.
3. Tip the projector out - remove the two screws from behind the projector.
4. Remove the bottom of the unit - should just slide off
5. Pry the front and back apart - there are several tabs that fit together, but with a little squeezing and wiggling the two halves will come apart. This will free up the projector assembly.
6. Remove the screw from the projector assembly, then the front and back of the projector assembly can be pried apart - again, there are tabs that snap together, so squeezing and wiggling are helpful.
7. Once the projector assembly cover is removed, then the projector is exposed for testing and exploration.

I tested for voltage at the LED test points
I suspect that the issue I was researching may have to do with the motor not turning - safety interlock to prevent burning the disc?

Baby needed her music, so I needed to reassemble before I could explore further.

Reassembly was the reverse of disassembly - be careful not to pinch wires when reassembling the projector cover.

My panasonic hdtv seems to have developed a yellowish tint to the screen

Sounds like the polarizing film is burnt on one of the three colored lenses that are located next to the projector itself. In order to fix this this it is necessary to remove the ballast and projector units, then disassemble the projector housing to expose the lenses. there are green, blue and vermillion (reddish) lenses. the vermillion lense is the one that causes the yellow tint after it has been damaged.
searching for the pt-43lc14-k service manual (the 'k' version is the more complete one) will provide you with daigrams and such.
I am currently undergoing this repair myself, thus far we have disassembled the television and are waiting on new vermillion polarizing film in order to complete the reapir. Good Luck, it isn't too difficult. Just take lots of digital camera pics (for screw location and sizing) and you should be fine.

I need a parts breakdown for a sharp xv-z2000 projector. I think I have a broken internal mirror, but I'd like to know the correct disassembly procedure.

It's been a while, but in case you or someone else needs this information: The only quick source I could find for a service manual on this unit was the web site nodevice dot com. They charge something like $8 for 24 hours of download access, so work up a list of all the service manuals you might need and get them all while you're at it.

Acer aspire 5100

This guide is to provide some help for those who want to disassemble their laptop.
You have to be sure that the problem you face is from the hardware, and that your laptop is not under warranty, since that laptop disassembly void warranty.
Search on the net for service manuals some are free and other cost around 6$ . Not find your model ? download some free service manual from different brands and read them many steps are the same in laptop disassembly. But i do recommended to find the manual that fit your laptop because you may need to know the part number of the defective part to change it.
Now you have to prepare a clean working area with small box for the different parts and their screws, and maybe a pen and a paper to remember particular step.
To disassemble the computer, you need the tools below:
Wrist ground strap and conductive mat for preventing electrostatic discharge
Small Phillips screw driver
Flat head screw driver
Hexagonal driver
Tweezers
NOTE : The screws for the different components vary in size. During the disassembly process, group the screws with the corresponding components to avoid mismatch when putting back the components.
When you remove the stripe cover, please be careful not to scrape the cover.
In most of laptop you can actually access by the base to these bays :
battery
memory
hard disk
Remove them all, to remove the optical disk just release the screw securing the optical disk module, push the ODD module using a screwdriver and remove the ODD module from the main unit.
After that look on the keyboard area to find how to remove the keyboard for example with an Acer aspire 5100, you have to remove the middle cover from the edge of the middle cover and carefully detach the middle cover, then you just have to release the two screws securing the keyboard plate and carefully detach the keyboard plate from the edge of the keyboard plate finish by release the keyboard FFC lock carefully because it is fragile. Then remove the keyboard plate.
After that you can either disassembly the lcd module or try to access the motherboard.
For the LCD module carefully disconnect the LCD cable and any other cable that you can see, release any screws holding the LCD module on the bottom side of the main unit, release any other screws securing the LCD hinges on the main unit, then detach the LCD module from the main unit.
For the motherboard every model are different then you have to explore by yourself, but not forget to read some service manuals before.
You can find some free service manuals at laptop support.
I hope that this will give some help.

Replacment of bulb on dwin transvision 3 plus ceiling mounted

It is fairly simple. Take the unit down as you need to get to the underside. There you will see the retaining screws that hold the cover on. Remove these and open the unit. Inside you will see the bulb and mounting bracket. Off hand I don't remember exactly how it is held in place but there are a number of screws and a lead to disconnect to remove it.

Plmv169dcd handle fell OFF

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

If you need more help with disassembly, we have similar service manuals and have uploaded them to our site here, here, and here to help you.

You will need the free Acrobat Reader to view or print them in case you don't have it already.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

I would recommend getting a service manual as the light engines are a little complicated to get out. where the manual would have an exploded diagram which would make it alot easier. If you need a link to get the manual let me know and I will post one for you.
