Question about Saeco Odea Go

Saeco Odea Go machine, red light blinking,

Hi Guysm I tried to perform priming, a little water comes out, not the steady stream as per manual and nothing else. Machine is descaled, for couple of days, just leaving the machine with blinking red light for about 20 minutes would fix the problem. But today it won`t stop flashing at all. What else can I do?

When the red light blinking it means machine must be primed. BUT if you prime it and still red light -you have to change the FLOWMETER.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Giro descaling problem

Ok first check if the machine is in greenlight state when you press and hold the water button, as it will not work when the red exclamation mark blinking.

also check if the button work at all flipping back and forth to hot water and steam.
I have never had this problem that it dident work.
But remember this, you dont have to do the descaling again as that has nothing to do with the reset.
You can even reset the descaling alarm with out having done the descaling.

If that for some reason wouldent work I would think its the CPU card is not working.

Try this remove the brew unit and clean the screen on the unit, then insert unit, and open steam/hot water valve to prime. If that does not work then there might be a malfunction with the pump, I am assuming that the machine is only 2 weeks old?

SOURCE: Re Odea Giro Plus - Cannot stop the red alarm

The problem is with the flow meter which is a turbine unit that is installed before the pump.Either there is a blockage or the unit is bad.Have to open the machine to get into it.

Giaggia Brera descaling problem

Hi,
been talking to Gaggia (Philips) and they told me that with the newer Breras, you need to ill the water tank, put the machine into standby, then press the long and short cup buttons together for 6 seconds. This will start an auto descale programme (that they didn't mention in my manual!). A small amount of water will be dispensed through the coffee nozzles, then it will stop and the warning triangle and the prime warning light will come on. Place a large container under the panarello, then turn the knob to the right to dispense water. It will dispense about 50 - 100 mls (cold) water, then stop for about a minute. Just leave it and eventually it will empty the tank. Refill it and start again, but it will stop after a few seconds. Turn the knob back to central position, then it will dispense another small amount of water from the coffee nozzles, then stop with warning lights again. Turn the knob back right to dispense water, if it stops because of empty tank, just refill it. Eventually, the machine will stop and go to standby. Turn the knob back to the centre, refill tank yet again and the machine will start normally WITHOUT that descale warning light. HOORAY !!

Hi I have a Ranchilio Silva machine all of a sudden the water smells burnt and taste of coffee is yuk, any thoghts

  • Make sure your using filtered water
  • After you steam, turn of the steaming switch and hit the water switch and let it go until a steady stream of water comes out then switch it off, this refills the boiler
  • Try to descale it or backflush it, with Jo Glo or Full Circle.
good luck!

I have a Gaggia Titanium, I did descaling, had difficulty during the process. It shows ventilate. I have tried priming, but it doesn't pump water through the nozzle

Hi.

Disconnect and re-apply power (unplug power cord). After that try doing rinse and descale procedure as from manual. You may need to keep adding water while performing the procedure.

Try doing another rinse cycle until water tank empties. I had to do that a couple of times, then the red exclamation mark came on. Then I turned knob to off position, refilled water tank, pressed the descale button for 6 seconds, green light came back on and it did its priming.

Problems Descaling

Hi You have finished the first part of the descale process if that machine is like all the others. Rinse out your water tank and put fresh water in it. Then put it back on the machine and close then open the knob for steam and let it run the whole tank out. When it is finished the descale light will disappear and your green light will blink and the water light will be steady. Refill the water tank and close and then open the steam knob to prime so the water light will go out.

"NEED TO PRIME" alert is on. Have run a couple of tanks of water through the wand making hot water, but still says NEED TO PRIME. The pressure on the water seems a little lower than normal. Tried to...

That message indicates that water lines may be dirty. How long ago or how often had you descales your machine? If you have not routinely descaled then the water lines have to be cleaned ( by opening the machine) manually and/or replaced. Another possibility if you have been descaling it regularly, is that a water line may have small crack. And yet another possibility is that the pump may be going bad and/or the flow meter is clogged ( needs cleaning and/.or replacement). Best suggestion at this time is to have an Authorized SAECO Service Center check your machine. Prime it

1. Open the steam knob all the way.
2. Turn on the pump (coffee Button)
3. Turn on the power to the machine.

The machine will start to pump hot water out from the steam wand. When you get a steady flow, your machine has been primed.

Saeco Incanto -- no coffee coming out

After I posted this I decided to descale the machine again, even though I'd just done it a couple of weeks ago. After descaling and rinsing I tried running water through the brew group by pressing the pre-ground button, then holding down the big cup button. Still no water, but then I turned the little knob on the coffee dispenser counterclockwise, about half a turn. It worked! I rinsed it well, then made a cup of delicious espresso.
