Question about Husqvarna Lawn Tractor 48" Deck, 23 Hp, Model# Yth2348
I have a 2008 to 2009 YTH24K48 it is blowing the fuse while running as soon as the engine hits operating rpm. After the fuse blows the engine continues to run and the PTO engages and disengages fine but when I shut it off it will not start again until a new thin gauge jumper is in place of the fuse.

SOURCE: blowing fuses
try unplugging the pto, starting the mower and then engaging the blades. If it still blows a fuse the problem lies in the mowers wiring. If not the problem is the pto. Hope this helps

Check all of the wiring to the switch and the PTO clutch. You may have a wire that is either rubbing on the frame and shorting out or the two wires are rubbing together and shorting out...you have stated that you have checked the wires, but make sure to untape everything and check all parts of the wiring...
If all of the wiring looks to be in good shape and there are no scraps or scuffs, then the PTO Clutch is going bad and the magnetic clutch is either shorting or pulling too much current to engage it.... it will need to be replaced... not an easy project most of the time.
These clutches often do fail, and because of the heat of the engine and such they are usually very hard to remove. Make sure to have a good puller before you even think of trying to get it off of the shaft.
Bottom line is that it seems as though the problem is probably the electric clutch...
