Husqvarna K760 rebuild but wont rev high and bogs on idle

Saw was run on neat fuel replaced both the carb and the Piston/cylinder but wont run high and constantly has a bogging sound on idle. however it doesnt cut out. Replace fuel like and filter pickup and also replaced the fuel cap. Ive tried running with cap silghtly open but no change there. Replaced decomp valve cleaned out the breather vent. im at my wits end and really need some help and direction at this stage. Thank you to those who can help.

If there is good fuel in the tank and the plug gets wet with fuel, and there is a good spark stating the obvious it should go, if not there could be a mechanical issue, piston scored, rings worn etc,

This is sometimes caused by dirt in the gas tank. When the saw is off and being moved around the dirt settles to the bottom. The saw will start OK and rev up but after a while the dirt gets shaken up and sticks to the fuel filter in the tank. When enough dirt covers the filter the saw looses power or dies all together. Sometimes it will get enough gas to idle but not enough to run at high speed. With the tank half full, shake the saw to get all the dirt stired up and dump it out. Put a little gas in it and shake & dump it again. If you can fish the fuel line with the filter on it out, remove the filter and either replace it or blow it out. If this doesn't cure all your problems you may have leaks in the fuel line to the carb that are letting in more air than gas causing your power problems.

Runs fine until it gets hot then loses power on high revs and revs up erratically.

Remove the exhaust muffler. and look at your piston if there are grooves on then remove cilinder because of warranty when it was bought?
If its an older tool then look on the gasket on the airfilter has a bad kind of connection compared to other professional brands , the gasket on that can be very simple leaking .

There are also Chinese replacements to find , but i am wondering about the all worthwhile investment , you should have looked on the color of the sparkplug i think so and replaced the spark plug , the tank airiation but its can be also not because the long time and neither the L+H adjustments. No the ignition coil is it to long for by thermal failures so the only thing i think of is piston clamps by overheating because of grooves and a bad Gilnisil layer on exhaust and cilinder . ALLWAYS use new gaskets on the airfilter and all parts to make it realy airtight, its the most weak thing on this model.

Saw runs at normal idle with choke pulled and wide open with choke off

I would take it back to the repair person you used and let them know that they fixed one problem and caused another.

I have a Stihl 009 chain saw that I just rebuit the carb on and when it runs at high speed it does so only for a few seconds then dies. It will idle all day long. What could the problem be?

Have you replaced the fuel filter in the tank? it will idle as the engine is not calling for much fuel, however at full revs it calls for a greater amount of fuel, if that fuel is not available the saw dies.

Husqvarna 266xp issues.

As the saw runs out of fuel the revs increase due to lean fuel mix, so would guess the saw is not hitting its 12500rpm at full revs, this is either a blocked air filter or the carb adjustment, the revs should be checked with a suitable tacho before leaning off the H screw on the carb, increasing the revs beyond 12500 could result in a cylinder seizure.

Husqvarna 55 rancher-just put new piston ring and cylinder.saw start right up and idles.when i try to acellerate it bogs and try to stall.when I let off gas it idles fine again.I tried turning mixture...

The plastic carb mount has a hole and a slot, this is the pulse channel from the cylinder to work the pump diaphram in the carb, if you look behind the plastic plate there is a tube that fits into the cylinder under the black induction rubber, this feeds a positive and negative pressure to the carb as the piston rises and falls, make sure you have re fitted the small seal in the cylinder that seals this tube or you will have big running problems.

Air leak only idles with choke closed no high speed.

Remove your exhaust manifold. Look into the cylinder with a flash light. You are looking for scratches. Anything larger then a light fingernail is definite proof you need a new cylinder/piston assy.

If it passes that test do the following:

Pour mixed fuel straight into your cylinder until 1/4 full. Slowly pull your saw over while looking into the cylinder. If you see bubbles after the ring/rings go by then you need a new cylinder/piston assy. On rare occasions if no scratches are present on the cylinder wall or piston, you may be able to change just the rings.

There are two idle screws one high, and one low. Your high adjustment idle screw needs to be adjusted.
