Remove gear shift assembly

There will be 4 bolts on top of the gear box that fix the gear selector turret in place . Remove any trim and rubber boots to get to these bolts . undo them and lift the gear lever ass. out of the box.

Not getting oil to blade tried the screw to adjust but still no oil getting throu !!

Your worm gear assembly is probably frozen in with sawdust and dirt. Take off the oil gear assembly. You will need to take off the clutch and the sprocket, the worm gear is directly underneath. Sometimes they are made out of plastic, sometimes of bronze. They use plastic for newer saws. If the gears do not turn easily, when you use your finger to turn them when they are off. then it is probably a good idea to buy a worm gear and then totally clean the assembly. Put in the new gear and it should work. Also check your chain bar check that the hole is clean. They also have a seal around the worm gear under the clutch assembly. It is good that you replace that too.

Norelco 8100 Series Motor/Drive/Gear Assembly

The gear tips are not available from the manufacturer. You will have to replace the whole assembly. Your other option is to but a used model of the same type off of ebay and take the gear stems off of it.

I have a hp laserjet 4250 printer it had a paper jam in tray 2 i have cleared the jam but it keeps saying i still have the jam in tray 2

There is still paper stuck in the printer. try lifting the printer off of tray 2 to inspect it or here it is straight from the service manual...

Cause Solution

The feed or separation rollers are dirty, worn, or damaged. Clean the rollers. If they are dirty after cleaning, or if they are

worn or damaged, replace the rollers.

The pickup roller is worn or damaged. Replace the pickup roller.

The tray 2 paper pickup assembly drive gears are damaged

or the assembly is defective.

Check the drive gears in the paper pickup drive assembly.

Replace the pickup drive assembly if the gears are

damaged. See Paper-pickup drive assembly.

The tray 2 pickup solenoid (SL101) is damaged. 1 Disconnect the connector for the tray pickup solenoid

from the dc controller PCA (location J92).

2 Measure the resistance between the cable connectors.

3 If the measured resistance is not approximately

160 ohms for the HP LaserJet 4200/4300, or 110 ohms

for the HP LaserJet 4250/4350, replace the tray 2

pickup solenoid.

The tray 2 lifter-drive assembly or the stack position

sensor (PS107) is defective.

Replace the lifter-drive assembly. See Tray 2 lifter-drive

assembly and/or Printer switches and sensors.

The dc controller PCA is defective. Replace the dc controller PCA. See Dc controller PCA.

Dirty, worn, or deformed pick-up roller, cassette separation

roller, and cassette feed roller.

Clean the rollers if they are dirty. Replace any worn or

deformed rollers. The cassette separation roller and the

cassette feed rollare are to be replaced together.

Damaged gears in the cassette pick-up drive unit. Move the gears in the cassette pick up drive unit. If the

gears are not rotating correctly, or are damaged or worn,
replace the cassette pick-up drive unit.

Replace the window regulator on the drivers side

Motor & Regulator
  1. Remove the front or rear carrier assembly.
  2. Slide a hammer handle between the window guide and carrier assembly until the hammer handle end presses on the gears of the carrier assembly.
  3. Unfasten the bolts (1) and remove window regulator.

To install:

NOTE:By removing window regulator motor, gearing shifts, it is not centered


  1. When installing window regulator motor, the gears must be aligned until the window regulator motor is centered again.
  2. Attach and tighten the bolts to 3.5 Nm. The bolts must be tightened to specifications, or damage to plastic sleeve on window regulator motor can result.
  3. Carrier assembly with window regulator, installing:
    • For replacement part carrier assemblies, the gearing is secured in place with a cable tie.


For replacement part carrier assemblies, the gearing is secured in place with a cable tie (1)

  • Slide a hammer handle between window guide and SF so far until hammer handle end presses on gears of SF.
  • Remove the cable tie .
  • By removing window regulator motor, gearing shifts, it is not centered.
  • When installing window regulator motor, gears must be aligned until window regulator motor is centered again.
  • Attach and tighten bolts to 3.5 Nm. The bolts must be tightened to specifications, or damage to plastic sleeve on window regulator motor can result.

    My 05 seat will go front to back,tilt,but not up or down. do i need a new motor

    HI. I would check the control section for loose wire connections first. make sure that all connectors are tightly connected to there respective locations on the motor. If the control wiring harness is ok, and connected well, move on to the gear assembly. The up/down function will use a gear assembly. If you are hearing any clicking while trying to initiate the up and down motion, this will indicate that the gears are stripped. the gear plat will need ot be replaced in this case. If the gear assembly is ok, go ahead and replace the motor.

    There is a roll pin on the gear. Take a small punch and knock it out. When you get the pin knocked out, spray carb. cleaner around the gear and shaft and with a rag wrapped around the gear to keep from cutting your hand, turn the gear while holding the rotor. It will come out and you can pull the shaft up through the distributor.

    Replace liftmaster 1245R drive/worm gear

    I have a 1265 and took the cover off (unplug first).
    There are screws securing the cover: 2 on each side at top, 2 at either end bottom.
    Then I disconnected the chain.
    There are 3 hex head screws securing the drive gear assembly (of course they thread from the inside out which makes taking them out a bit time consuming). Take care not to damage the circuit board or other electronic connections.
    Then at the bottom of the shaft is the "limit switch assembly" that is clipped into the metal housing. Squeeze the 2 on the outside and it should swing free.
    Then at the very end of the shaft there is another plastic gear. It is secured by a 3 prong plastic clip. Pull the outside clips away from the shaft while pushing the center piece back through the shaft. The gear should come off and you can now remove the gear and sprocket assembly up through the assembly.
    call 800 528 2817 and order the "Gear and Sprocket Assembly".
    I am waiting for the part and assume we reverse the order above to reinstall.
