SOURCE: I am a restaurant manager and we have a eurolight

First thing is to verify that the REMOTE units driven by this have power going into them. They are probably fed by a breaker or fuse which if tripped or blown will prevent any lamps from lighting.

Since there is a single run of the control cable to the remote units, any damage to the cable or loose connector can kill the whole system operation.

If here is a problem in the LC2412 it is unlikely the repair would be DIY as electronic test equipment is required for troubleshooting.

Eurolight LC2412 will not store presets into memory

Not sure but it may have an internal battery. I would look into that first. I've had bad luck with behringer equipment myself and can't seem to get parts for any of it.

With dimmer pack off, light comes on

May be misinterpreting....but..... If channel 3 is providing power even when it shouldn't, there is likely a shorted triac for that channel. A triac is basically an electronic switch for AC power. Normally it needs to be triggered to switch on.... But a shorted triac would be on all the time. Common when too heavy load is plugged into it. That triac would have to be replaced.

Behringer: EUROLIGHT LC2412 battery replacement

You need a CR2032 battery - get it from JayCar, RadioShack, whatever electronics store you have.
You have to turn the unit upside-down and take out all 11 screws from the bottom, and the two on the sides near the front. Then just lift the bottom panel from the rest of the unit. The battery is very obvious.
Behringer warn you NOT to do this and claim you could suffer an electric shock. I say, just don't touch anything you don't need to and you'll be fine. You might need to remove the rack-mounts from the sides of the unit if you have those.

The LED cans are not easily dimmable to very low levels. The signals sent are all digital. It is POSSIBLE that the A channel fader doesn't go low enough electrically within the console and the conversion to the control stream of data is NOT commanding a low enough level. LED's are HARD to dim below a certain point and what would happen is that in the multiple strings of each color, some stings would go completely out before others... SO it is possible they have a minimum SET in the PAR can that is the lowest level that can be done without dropping off some of the internal groups and making a mess of the color. There would be NO solution available to you in this case.

There are glitches on the display of the console, and the faders aren't working properly, some assigning themselves to the wrong lights and some not even working at all.

The first thing to check is if you have reasonable length lines to the lights you SHOULD HAVE A TERMINATOR resistor at the ends. Without this, data reflections can corrupt the data stream and give WILD results.

Here is a link discussing the need: http://www.controlbooth.com/forums/lighting-electrics/5229-dmx-termination-dummies.html

Como resetar o gfx8

zoom GFX-8:
The All Initialize/Factory Recall function is a special function
that lets you reset the GFX-8 to the condition in which it was originally shipped. When All Initialize is performed, all settings of the unit including all user group patches are returned to the default condition. Factory Recall can be used to reset only specific user group patches group to the default settings.
1. Turn power to the GFX-8 on while keeping the STORE key depressed. The display shows "ALL-INIT".
• To perform All Initialize, Continue with the next step.
• To perform Factory Recall, Use the BANK UP/DOWN foot switch and foot switches 1 - 4 to select the patch (from a user group) that you want to return to the factory default condition.
2. Press the STORE key once more.
All Initialize or Factory Recall is carried out.
If All Initialize was carried out,
the unit automatically returns to the play mode.
Note that when All Initialize is executed,
the contents of all patches stored by the user will be overwritten (erased).
When wishing to cancel All Initialize/Factory Recall,
press the EDIT/CANCEL key before step 2.

Each time I attempt to initialize a zip disk in my Roland BR8...

Probably the drive has gone bad as a first thought... this happens. Possibly the heads got dirty...

Make sure nobody has smoked tobacco around the unit as that is a killer for Zip drives.

Sometimes they have a second level of initializing/formatting. If the BR* has that, try it.
