Try to key it down without the mic attached and see what happens.it could be in the ic or even the final so be prepared to replace them

Someone peaked the radio, i want it back to 4 watt, how do i do it

you will need an external watt meter and an alignment diagram. Go to www.cbtricks.com , look up Galaxy, dx939 and click on the radio alignment and it will tell you which variables to turn to get it back to 4 watts.

I have a galaxy 99v when i key the mike the frequency counter jumps around.need help where to locate the problum

sounds like either a bad.mixer crystal or the vco is out.of wacky. if it is the crystal then you can try reseting it. it is a 10.240 crystal. heat the crystal wig a soldering iron for white 8 to 10 seconds. if that doesMr work replace it.

148GTL Cobra (no tx)

Bad transmitter. You can:
1) take it to a repair shop
2) get a new radio
3) repair the transmitter with a stock replacement transmitter
4) check the inside of the radio, make sure everything is where it's supposed to be
5) make sure that you are using the correct power supply for the unit

If the problem is too extensive and you consider getting a new radio similar to the 148GTL, try the Galaxy DX 2527. It's a BIG radio. But it's production was discontinued. If you can't find a Galaxy DX 2527, try a Galaxy DX 2517, it's similar to the DX 2527, but with less features, but has great sound, I get nothing but good comments when I talk on it. The DX 2527 has an okay transmitter, it doesn't sound all too good by itself, so that's why you have the echo and robot voice changer options.

Hope this helps!

Galaxy Dx-88 HL

anything over 10 amps should be sufficient i would assume. if it calls for a 10 amp fuse anything less than that would be under powering the unit
