Re: C250 on Vista

You need to enable hidden files and folders on your computer. If you do not have the menu at the top of your system windows (computer, my documents), press the 'ALT' key on your keyboard. Then, go to Tools>Folder Options>View Tab> Show hidden files and folders. Best of Luck.

With a Sansa Clip+ only work with Rhapsody? I don't want to have to pay for an account and then also pay for the songs as well.

No, Sansa players work with many types of music files and computers.
You may want to post details about your computer-- Mac, Windows, or Linux?
Also, what computer software do you use for music-- MediaMonkey? Windows Media Player?
Assuming you are using Windows XP--
You may already have songs on your Win XP computer, in Windows Media Player. If so, you can synchronize your player with Win Media Player-- This will load all the songs from your computer onto the Sansa, space permitting.

You can also copy files directly to the Sansa player, just as you copy files to a flash drive:

1) Configure the Sansa Player as a removable drive.
With player unplugged, go to Settings > System Settings > USB Mode
Select MSC

2) Plug the Sansa player into your computer.
The computer will recognize it as a flash drive, and will assign a drive letter.

3) Open Windows Explorer.
Find the directory on your computer that contains music files.
Copy and paste music files into the Music directory on your Sansa player.

4) Using the green arrow, bottom left on the system tray, safely shut down the Sansa player.

5) When you unplug it, the player will spend a minute or two updating its files.

6) Your music should be available to play.

If you are running things on a system other than Win XP, please post more details--
Someone may give you a more exact solution.

Best of luck!

Hello, I purchaced this product not knowing if it is able to download music using windows vista. Can you please tell me if I need to get a refund or exchange, I only have windows vista. Thank you.

You are most likely copying the wrong music file format to your MP3 player.
MP3 players can only play music files that are in mp3 file format.
You can copy these music files to your MP3 player after converting then to mp3 format.
Please click on this link for instruction on converting music files :-

I need to know how to delete songs off my mp3/sansa sandisk c250

Open "My computer", then "Sansa c250 (E:)", find properties to show hidden files and a "Music" file (which is hidden) will appear. You can erase music directly from there.

Sansa c250 MP3 player

You don't need one, just go to settings, go down to "usb" mode, and if it says "playsforsure" and "rhapsody", pick "rhapsody" if it says "MTP" or "MSC" pick "MTP". Then, connect it to your computer. Go to your "my computer" folder, double click on the sansa. Then go to "tools" on your toolbar, click on "folder options", then click on the "view" tab, then go down to where it says "hidden files and folders", and check off "show hidden files". Click Apply, then OK. You should now see a translucent folder that says "music". Feel free to drag and drop any MP3 formatted music onto your computer. Please keep in mind that I've only verified this working on windows XP SP2, and that if it's not one mode, then it's the other, I know that Rhapsody is the mode you want to be in, but not so sure if it's MSC or MTP mode, try one, then switch it if it doesn't work Good Luck EE
