SOURCE: my welder only welds for about 2 seconds then

Is enough for this machine, but probably is not a fuse dedicate it just for this end side.
If you can turn all lights off and other items that might be in use with the fuse. If you can't then upgrade the fuse to a 30amp.

Hi:

If everything works but there is no arc; you should check your ground clamp, make sure it is not loose or dirty including terminals and replace your gun's contact tip.
Believe it or not this is a simple one.

If this was useful to you please vote. Thanks

SOURCE: Miller Trailblazer, welds great for about 30

Sounds pretty normal. These units are not rated to weld continuously. They might only be rated at 5-10% for cheap welders and longer for better ones. They are never designed to run continuously. You need to get into the higher end ($$$) before you get that ability.
You can try to blow cool air into the unit to help it cool. Sometimes this can extend the work time.Basically you can try that or work to your temp cut off limit as you have been or upgrade to a better unit. That is about all you can do.

Miller 325 EFI welder motor won't start. seems like fuel delivery issues.

Likely fuel delivery i.e. low fuel pressure at the injectors.

Causes;
Low fuel
Fuel filter plugged
Fuel supply line plugged
Lift fuel pump - insufficient fuel supply
Fuel pump (lift or module) - internally plugged
Pressure regulator not functioning properly

Minimum module (injector) pump voltage is 7VDC measured at the pump. The unit requires a battery with sufficient charge to provide cranking current to the starter and feed the fuel pump (lift and/or module).

Once running, the charging system must provide sufficient current to maintain a battery voltage in excess of 13VDC. Less than 13VDC implies failing charging system and/or battery.

tip

Sharpening electrodes when tig welding in DC

Use the smallest tungsten possible, ie 1/16" welds up to 115amps. Hold the tungsten straight up the face of the grinding wheel so the striations go up the tungsten. This encourages the arc to go straight down the electrode thus avoiding arc wonder on lower amperages. It also helps to make the point as long as possible to encourage a finer arc. Happy welding.

Fuel light gauge problem

If the fuel light on your Miller Trailblazer 325 EFI welder 907512 is reading full when the tank is almost empty, it could be caused by a few different things:
  • Firstly, the issue could be with the fuel level sensor, which is responsible for sending the signal to the fuel gauge. The sensor may be malfunctioning or damaged, and it will need to be replaced.
  • Secondly, the problem could be with the wiring or connections of the fuel level sensor. Check for any loose or corroded connections, and make sure all connections are tight.
  • Thirdly, the problem could be with the gauge itself. The gauge may be malfunctioning and will need to be replaced.
  • Lastly, the issue could be with the electronic control module (ECM) it may be interpreting the signal incorrectly.
It's important to check the manual of the welder for troubleshoot steps, also check the warranty of the welder and see if it's still covered by the manufacturer. It's best to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center, they will be able to diagnose and fix the issue. They have the right tools and knowledge to troubleshoot the problem and make the necessary repairs.

Why does the welder quit arching after 30 minutes?

Motors and generators are the same in this sense. The winding of a field coil is defective. The winding heats up with use and the winding expands causing it to short out and quits doing it's intended purpose. An hour of cooling allows the winding to contract thus clearing the short circuit. A good motor rewinder person can find the defective winding with an oven or heat gun and can rewind it for a fraction of a new welder generator.

FAST IDLE PROBLEM

A fast idle problem on a Miller Trailblazer 275 DC welder generator can prevent the machine from recognizing an arc and starting the welding process. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Check the fast idle control and make sure it's not stuck in the off position. If it is, try moving it to the on position and see if the welder recognizes the arc.
  2. Check the fast idle solenoid and make sure it's not damaged or corroded. Clean it with a contact cleaner if needed, or replace it if it is damaged.
  3. Check the wiring going to the fast idle solenoid and make sure there are no loose or corroded connections.
  4. Check the Engine RPM, it should be around 2000 RPM, if not, check the governor and carburetor settings.
  5. Check the fast idle switch, it could be stuck or damaged,
It's important to check the manual of the welder for troubleshoot steps and also check the warranty of the welder and see if it's still covered by the manufacturer. If you are not able to find the problem or if you are not familiar with welding equipment, it's best to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center, they will be able to diagnose and fix the issue.

The code TMP1 SHRT is on my 325 trailblazer what does it mean

TMP1 SHRT is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that is related to the engine temperature sensor circuit in a Chevrolet Trailblazer. Specifically, it indicates that there is a problem with the sensor or the wiring that is causing a short circuit. This can result in the engine running too hot or not starting at all. It's important to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic or dealership to diagnose and fix the issue. This code may have different meanings depending on the make and model of your vehicle, and it's best to check your vehicle's specific service manual or consult with a mechanic to get the correct information.

When my miller 325 efi starts to heat up, it tends to shut it self off. the techs say that its running low on oil. But this has been going on one month after I bought it. Can't trust this machine any more....

I had the same problem. I replaced the fuel module with no result. I then replaced the fuel pump with no result. I then insulated the fuel lines. I determined the fuel was vaporizing in the line. By the time it reached the pump it was vapor. Helping it now and the cooler weather is helping too. Hope this helps. My tech buddy said it has had a module issue.
