When I first got it, the original owner said that it did not power on. I plugged it in and it worked fine. Powered it off and then tried to turn it back on and it will not power on. When plugged in, the Vizio logo turns on amber color but that is it. Tried replacing the power supply and still have the same results. Main board issue??

Its main board should be troubleshooted. Contact any service technician. The start signal is not coming to power board, from the main board is the fault. This is not a user repairable one.

Panasonic Plasma TV periodically will not turn on.

The power supply section of the tv may be faulty. Open your gadget and check if there are no popped up capacitors. When a capacitor at the power supply section is afftected by a surge, normally it pops up and resultantly affects the switching of the tv ....so check its voltage rating and capacitance and replace with the same value taking note of the polarity of the capacitor

Hello,

Your power supply board is dead,do you know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help in solving the problem

This TV was unplugged. When it was reconnected there is no power, no little red light near "Turn ON" button. I have tried plugging the TV into alternative outlets with the same result.

Hello,

your TV is having a power problem. The power supply board is defective that's why the TV won't power up. Its receiving power but it cannot transfer the current to the necessary part of the TV because a capacitor, diode, etc may have blown on the power board. Until these bad components are replaced, the TV might not come on.

If you know about TV repairers, I would suggest that you open the TV and read the power board/panel with a meter, detect the bad component and replace it. Take note that TV stores a lot of current that can shock, so leave the TV for a while before you open it.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you.

I wish you good luck.

Olevia 42 inch Flat Panel has power supply issue... Blue light does not come on and tv does not turn on... I have tried all different things to get tv to work with no positive results

What did you try so far? The main power supply MUST have at least the 5V standby supply section working. This 5v is used by the main control board to send out the command to turn on the main power supply section which will power up the rest of the TV circuits when the power switch is activated either by the power button of remote or on the TV powern button. Look for this 5v first.

Installed new Power supply, Monitor stays in standby...? So I noticed my fan was starting to go out, then it actually went out, my power supply would start to over heat and the cpu would shut itself...

Your problem is either the processor or the motherboard. that is why your monitor is not getting any signal. first try to replace the processor because I suspect that this might be the problem as it has gotten overheated before. if there was a power problem with you power supply you monitor would not power up at all.
