If you have oil and gas and it will fire then try a new plug. A bad plug when removed will appear to be fine but under compression can fail.
Also try a splash of good gas in the throat of the carb or intake (if fuel injected) with a new spark plug. My bet is it fires just fine.
If this is a fuel injector type engine you could have a bad injector control unit or a clogged injector.
If it fires with gas in the intake manifold then suspect carb or injector system. (which ever applies)
Thanks for using FixYa!

This is likely a carb problem. It's a common problem on Magnum engines. Check the main jet and the diaphram on top of the carb. Always turn the gas off on these when you're done riding. This way, if the carb is allowing fuel to drain in the oli tank, it won't drain the whole gas tank (which is what happened to you). This is not a piston ring problem with that much gas in the oil. good luck

if this is the issue, suspect your fuel pump diafram is perished
also check if fuel is getting into your engine oil, check the dipstick and see
if the oil level is hight or its thin and runny oil smelling of gas,
if this is the case, recommend changing the fuel pump and changing the oil, in that order.
I hope this was useful.
