Is the dryer shutting off completely or is the burner going on and off erraticly? If it is the burner you probably have a faulty coil on the burner. There are two electric coils mounted on the burner. You can buy both of them in a pack cheaper than buying one by itself. Remove the lower front cover and you will see the coils on the gas valve with wires going to them. Remove the wires and bracket that holds them down and install new coils. They are made so that you can't mix them up, they only fit one way.

The first suggestion I have for you is to simply run an Air Fluff cycle with no heat.
If the Air Fluff cycle runs okay then the problem is most likely with the thermistor.
You can try to run the dryer with the vent hose off and see if there is a difference.
