SOURCE: The faucet leak is from the top gasket around the control handle.

Yes, Grone will give provide a daagram and parts list.    All you need to know is the model number. The beasst source for parts is the manufactor. Can you match it up? Is it single lever or two handles? Can you go to a grone dealer and look it up in their model book? THey can also provide the rebuild parts.

SOURCE: The base of my Grohe faucet, where the faucet goes

You are correct. You need a special tool that the manufacture calls a fitting key. Without this key you cannot tighten the faucet to the counter top. Look at this diagram of how it is installed and you can see what the key (G) looks like. You will also need this key to remove the sprayer head to clean it.
Call the person who installed the faucet and ask them what they did with the key. Look around after you see what it looks like and you may find it. Sorta looks like an old outdoor faucet handle. You can contact Grohe for a replacement key from this link.

Go to page 6 to see how to remove the aerator. You may need a special tool. This can be ordered from Kohler at 1-800-456-4537.

Need to tighten my ladylux

Grohe has a special tool that is used for installation that comes with the faucet. You have to remove the pullout spray and remove the curved neck of the faucet by pulling out. Insert the tool in the main body and tighten from above. Most plumbers will keep this tool when installing. I don't know if Grohe still uses the same system still today, but they did in the past.

Spray does not work properly. Water comes from tap and small amount of water comes from spray. Unit is also loose on sink. Is special tool needed to tighten ? Thanks Helga

It sounds like the hose suppling the water to the hose spray has become kink or swisted check that and if no take the spray head and soak it in 50/50 white viniger and water for 1 or two hours to clean the lime from it. You can also use lime-a-way if you have it.

It is easyer to tighten the faucet with the tool provided with the faucet when you buy it but it can be done with a small wrench or locking pliers illistation 4 in the link below.

Hi, my shower faucet /head drips regularly how to repair the leak?

You need to order seals and replace them. Typically, dirt in the water system damages the rubber (neoprene, plastic) soft parts. Sometimes the damage wrecks metal parts, but this is less common.

Broken thumb lever to a kitchen faucet side spray

Unless you have a super duper fancy faucet, all spray head for kitchen faucets are standard, and can be picked up at any hardware store, home depot, lowes or plumbing supply.

The easiest method of replacement is to screw off the handle, and leave the old hose intact. On the hose you will find two black washers. one fat and one thin. Take note which one comes off first and replace in that order. Pull back the screw housing and you will see the white plastic tube on the end of the spray hose has a locking ring nestled in a groove. Remove it. Now you can remove the old screw housing and put the new one on. After putting the handle screw housing on the hose, install the lock ring back into the groove., put washers back on in correct order, and screw your new spray head on. Good luck!
