I have an Envision LCD that blinks "on" for a second and then nothing. Screen

looks normal. Four years old. Also want to repair myself. Think it's a single

    part. Thanks.

Monitor IBM thinkvision 6734-ACO 17", turn OFF

Sounds to me your high voltage powersupply is out. To repair open monitor and remove high voltage powersupply. Inspect the caps on the board. Look for the ends of the caps to be mushroomed out. Replace these caps, usally 470 uf caps. Replace with 25volt caps. Might also be some 100uf caps as well. This is a common problem with all LCD monitors.

Hello, I have a 55" Fujitsu Plasma Monitor that's

I have a Fujitsu scaleoview c19-1 bought it 10 years ago with a defect from Germany after it was maybe about 2 years old , the defect where only 2 supression coils that where bad soldered in factory so it was going on and off faultering that was the only problem and curiously all used capacitors are still all well have good capacity after all this years only the seperate powersupply on that monitor has have bad capacitors and 5 pcs replaced inside that unit i have beat it open and after replace all was again perfect. IF you have such a monitor with a separate power supply, beware its only a suggestion to help i have the capacitors in that powersupply replaced a 2 years back and i have no problems anymore but in most cases always powersupply capacitors can best replaced after 6 or 7 years even of a corsair power supply what is also very nessecary to do the Chinese black ones the heat dissipation is higher in power supply s and therefore if the size of the radial capacitors is made its to fit on replace then choose it 10 or 20 volts higher parts in place the newer capacitors are smaller take if possible 105 degrees parts or try an other powersupply to look for the screentrouble if thats not help and of control the graphics card and or powersupply of the computer.

It powers up but there is no picture

It is truly amazing the number of people who post here with the subject"No Picture" or "Monitor Problem" or "Monitor not working" when in 99.9% of cases there is nothing wrong with the monitor. The problem is almost certainly either graphics card or motherboard related. Occasionally LCD screens that have a separate 12V powersupply experience powersupply failure. If re-seating the graphics card or trying a replacement doesn't work then you will need to look at other components including motherboard, CPU, RAM, PC Power supply or data cable connected with CPU.
Good Luck, feel free to contact any assistance'

Hi, my screen just randomly turned pink im wonderi...

Check all the pins on the VGA cable, also try it on another PC to make sure it is not the PC that is causing the problem. Hopefully it will not be bad lamps.

17 lcd l170 black screen power on but no display

When powered-on, and *NOT* connected to a computer, most ThinkVision LCD monitors will flash, for a few seconds, the IBM ThinkVision "logo", before going into "power-saving" mode. If you don't see that, then it's time to spend about $120, and buy a new 19" (not 17") LCD monitor.

The screen turns offf after 2 seconds

The problem can be caused by bad caps in the power supply, bad inverter circuits, bad lamps. You need to open it up and post back what you see inside so we can guide you further, see example of failde monitors due to bad caps:
