SOURCE: printer says paper jam but there is none

Look Inside of each cover on the printer & see if there is a small piece of paper inside. Also, check if there is loose dust from the paper built up by the sensor switches. If none of these work, try flipping the sensor switches manually. Sometimes these get stuck in a particular bad paper jam.

SOURCE: says paper jam but there is none. pixma mp450

Take any paper out of the paper feeder and get a plastic ruler the softer the better lift the top of the printer up so you can see where the print cartridges are now push the ruler down through the paper feed roller be careful because you could break the rollers go from left to right right to left twice and check for any debris once you have done this unplug the printer for about 20 seconds then plug back in and let it reset then try copying or printing a doc and see how you go!

I have a lexmark e238. Keeps showing paper jam light after cleaning rollers even though no paper is in there.

Either paper is moving too slow through the paper path or one of your paper path sensors is not registering. Pull the paper tray out and check to make sure the little plastic sensor is swinging free. That sensor tells when the tray is empty. Follow the paper path thru the printer checking all the sensors to make sure they are "opening" and "closing".

Paper jam

Hi
Try turning the printer off and on.This is known to automatically push out the stuck paper.
Look through the paper paths and remove any obstructions/stuck papers.
Clear any print queues.
Disconnect the printer completely from power, wait for a while and then connect again.

Hope it helps.Thanks!

This printer has a straight flow through path.

* Situate the printer so that you may clearly get to the back of the device.
* Open the rear door path and check for the presence of any paper in the path there.
* If none. Then you need to check the area around the fuser.
* Permit the printer to cool for several minutes.
* Release the side catches and open the top of the printer.
* pull out the cartridge.
* inspect the area around the fuser. You might see a paper jam there. Clear and reassemble.

Printer did not show ready status, showing 13.20 error

13.20 is a generic jam message that appears when there is a piece of paper stuck in the printer or one of the flags in the paper path is stuck in the wrong position. Most times this error occurs when one of the flags in the facedown assembly is in the wrong position. One thing you can try is to turn off the power and open the right side door below the manual tray and sitck a piece of letter paper in that opening and then close the door. It will not quite fit right but try your best. Now turn on the printer and after initialization and warm up the printer will attempt to clear the paper path and will feed that sheet thru. If it goes thru the error may now be gone, but most times the paper will jam entering the facedown assembly and stop since there is a piece of paper stuck up there or the the flag is preventing the paper from moving. If it comes thru but you still have the message then one of the 2 flags in that assembly is stuck. Good Luck.

  1. Gently pull any jammed paper out of the output tray or sheet feeder.

  2. If the paper is stuck inside, turn off the Epson Stylus CX.

  3. Open the scanner, remove the jammed paper and torn pieces, close the scanner, and turn the Epson Stylus CX back on.

Clear Paper Jam error -- but there is no paper jam!

Sometimes while clearing the jam (if there was one) you may leave a bit of paper left behind which obscures a sensor causing it to think there is paper still in the paper path, or sometimes even paper dust can do it. Try a bottle of compressed air and blow the path out very well. Get a bright light (good flashlight) and very throroughly eyeball the paper path for any "foreign" objects...
