Question about Sony Handycam CCD-TRV308 Camcorder
I have a 4-5 year old camera. When I record - all looks normal (and all has been normal until now)...but when I play it back - there appear 5 black lines (like prison stripes) that completely obliterate the picture.
When was the last time you "cleaned" the heads? Use a good commercial head cleaning tape. They have both "Wet" and "Dry" types. I prefer the "wet" over the dry. I think it does a better job but they are hard to find sometimes. you can also do it manually with "foam" swabs and "methanol". Alcohol works but the methanol leaves less residue behind. If that doesn't solve the problem the next step would be to take it to a repair shop for cleaning and re-alignment.
