If you did a full cd copy it should boot. If you are having trouble reading it, try recording the copy at a slow speed such as 2x or 4x, then an older drive will read it more easily.

go to the support site for your motherboard, there you will get universal bus architecture device drive. Install this before you install the Audio/Sound driver.

Well, if you have a friend or neighbor who has Window XP Home, you could borrow their CD, but use your product key during the installation.
