Well, your options are send it to sony and have it repaired or have it repaired locally. Being that the psp isn't shock resistant you most likely knocked something out of place, probably the motor. Whick would explain the clicking. Have it fixed or downgraded it so your able to play games directly off your memorystick.

I've been having the same problem as you.
I dropped my psp in my house and then it stopped reading umds and then the next morning, it was working again. Then, like three days later, it stopped reading discs and it makes that clicking noise. I'm not sure what to do, i know my warranty won't work since i got it when the psp first came out, and i'm not sure how expensive it would be for a repair. I'm also not trying to pay 75$ to get my psp fixed and then it's just something simple, or it works for a couple days and then breaks again, what should i do?

Actually when I was in school, I put my PSp in my backpack, and when I was putting it on, my backpack smacked straight on to the wall, and the disc Cache came off. I put it back on but I lost the battery cover. next month I ordered a battery cover from e bay, but that didn't help, the problem with it is that the system doesn't play umds and it has pixel disoreantation. the screen's all messed up, does anyine know what I can do to fix the most in expensive way to fix it? I miss my psp and i'm going crazy!
