This code is for a TD (toner density) sensor error. It could be as simple as cleaning the TD sensor which is located in the area to the right of the drum. If you remove the drum unit, it will be in the area about 2/3 of the way toward the rear of the machine and is accessable through the right hand door that you open to remove jams and remove the drum unit. Just wipe you finger across the inboard surface of the sensor and if your finger comes back with a lot of toner on it, you've probably fixed the problem. If that doesn't fix it, you're going to have to throw yourself on the mercy of your friendly local technician as it's something that only he/she can fix. Let me know if that helps. Aloha. Copies are faded and unreadable when printed or copied at the machine. The toner percentage is showing 25-0% but the machine is not giving a "change toner" message.

Remove the toner cartridge and tap it sharply with one hand whilst holding it with the other. Turn 90 degrees and do it again, repeat until the cartridge is back to being the correct way up.

This will often give you another hundred copies with a cartridge that 'appears' to be empty.

If that doesn't work, you will need to replace the toner,, if that doesn't work, you need a technician or a new machine.

Maintenance message kept appearing but could still use machine. With info from your site, I think I cleared it. However, we keep getting a message that there is a paper jam (Jam 50). Could find nothing...

Maintenance message is setted by the technician, the numbers of copies that you can make with the same drum is limitted by the technician, (100k) if you reach this limit the maintenance message appears, you have to replace the maintenance kit (the opc drum, transfert corona, main corona) to avoid the bad quality copy. if you need to work with the machine you have to call the technician he can increase the counter limit to clear the warning message.

Cannot get printer to copy

Hello,

Start up your printer. Wait until it has powered on completely before beginning.

Open the printer's lid and place your item on the copying surface with the side you want copied face-down on the glass. Double-check the alignment.
Shut the printer's lid. For large items, such as books, you may want to remove the printer lid rather than forcing it closed .Choose the kind of copy you want: black-and-white or color. You also may have to select the kind of paper that you are copying.

Size the copy to the page if desired. Some multi-function printers allow you to expand or shrink the original to fit different sizes of paper.
Enter the number of copies you want. You may do this on the multi-function printer or in the print setup of your computer. Make sure the paper tray has enough paper to finish your copying job.

Press the "Start" button. Other names for this might be the "Copy" or "Print" button.
Remove the pages as they are delivered from the printer's feeding mechanism. Do not tug on the copies as they come out. Let them fall into your hands.
Take care.

On machine shows c610

sometimes, this code can be caused by a power fluctuation or outage. try this: turn machine on, press and hold these keys in this exact order. "stop/reset", "start" and then "left copy exposure" key. let up and quickly hit "stop/reset" again. at this time you should be in the maintenance mode and see "U000" on display. next, using the "zoom" keys, go to "U163". then press "start" and you should see "CLE". press "start" again. then press "stop/reset" twice and you should see "U000" again. press right "zoom" key to go to U001 and press "start" to get out of maint. mode. turn copier off, wait 3 secs. and turn back on. if message comes back, you truly have a bad fuser, but my experience is you'll be back up and running.

good luck,
razors

Copy feature doesn't make copies

  1. Turn on the HP All-in-One.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the unit.
  3. Press and hold the # and 3 buttons simultaneously.
  4. While still holding down the # and 3 buttons, connect the power cord to the back of the unit.
  5. Continue holding the buttons until the Power button blinks.
  6. Follow the instructions that display on the unit to select the language settings.
Then when that's done, try printing, or copying items. If its still not working, check the ink and change those out and this should fix it.

I have a xerox dc12 with error message please turn machine off and on again 9-363 have tried several times but no good! what else can I do?

That's a process problem with that machine.
May require a service call .ON and OFF is pretty much all a customer can do and wait for it to setup.
NOTE: The problem occurs because of the trickle development system in the machine, making extended lengths of black and white copies / prints does not allow the black developer housing to purge itself of excess waste Toner (Dry Ink) and Developer. There are two solutions for the problem:
  • Make 1,000 copies / prints of a black and white job, then make 150 copies / prints of full color. Continue making 1,000 copies / prints of the black and white job, then 150 full color, and so on, until the entire black and white job is complete.
  • Make extended jobs in groups of 100 by making 100 copies / prints of the black and white job, then allowing the machine to cycle down (return to 'Ready') and making the next 100 copies / prints. Continue in this pattern until the entire black and white job is complete.
