Asking the question twice is not going to help have a solution. What helps is clear information about what you were or are trying to do. As in the computer, certain menus are contextual: they are only available if the context (the action) is appropriate.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

This unit is solar powered, doesn't have batteries to my knowledge. Try TI website for more options. http://education.ti.com/en/us/home

Havent used my ti-inspire since last school year.wont turn on

Hello,
Here is what the TI knowledge base says about a calculator failing to turn on

For the TI-Nspire™ Family:
  1. Remove thekeypad (for TI-Nspire) or the battery door (for TI-Nspire CAS) andremove at least 1 battery from each column of batteries. After 2-5seconds, reinsert the batteries and turn the unit on. This will causethe unit to reboot the operating system.
  2. Remove the keypad(for TI-Nspire) or the battery door (for TI-Nspire CAS) and remove atleast 1 battery from each column of batteries. After 2-5 seconds, reinsert the batteries and LEAVE THE UNIT OFF (do not turn on and thenback off). Hold down [Home] [Enter] [P], and while holdingthese keys, press [On]. The device will boot up as in the previousreset, but will display a menu with the following options. Please tryoptions 1, 2, 3, and 4 in that order. ** The [Home] key is located atthe top right of the TI-Nspire keypad and has a picture of a house onit.
Note:TI-Nspire family model options 2 and 4 above require that the OS be installed. The reset menu will only display if the unit is off and batteries have been removed/replaced as described above.

1. Cancel - The most non-intrusive reset option; no changes are made, the unit restarts.
2. Delete Operating System – The operating system will be deleted without deleting any documents.
3. Delete Document Folder Contents – This will delete the user’s documents, but will not delete the OS.
4. Complete Format – This will delete the OS and all documents for a total erase of memory.

Hope it helps you solve the problem.

TI-84

It depends on what you want to use it for. If you are looking for something that just does basic mathematical calculations, any electronics store has any number of choices.

If you are looking for something to help with higher math (calculus) TI's TI-83 and 84are pretty much the standard.
