Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. Height of exit hose should be approx 3 feet from ground level.

Hi 2002tii

These are a cool old machine. They use the cdm1 laser mechanism that was revered in its day for high performance. If you have voltage available after the rectifier stages, check the 3 pin voltage regulators. Marked as 78xx for positive regulator, and 79xx for negative. the xx gives you the voltage they are supposed to be putting out. They commonly fail, also check the same for dry solder joint. resolder them anyway if you are unsure. If all the regulators check out, then also check low value flame proof resistors in the power supply rails. Get back to me here again and let me know how you got on. Good Luck

Sound like you might have a loose wire or ribbon cable, might even be a loose wire on switch.Be sure to turn breaker off to machine and unplug it before you check them. Also check the motor reset.

SOURCE: Acer A1916 does not power on

Hello,

Try checking for a short between pins 2 and 3 on U406. I had the same problem on 3 monitors. I removed this component from 2 of them and replaced it on the 3rd and all three of them work now. I am unsure of this components purpose.

SOURCE: LG Washer wont start, no power

Make sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

How to reset my zanussi

Switch off the machine for a while. Check for moisture in the panel, check for any capacitor leak in the mains circuit. If you have a multimeter check the voltage to the controller section.
Also check the door switch, the inlet flow valve filter and the connectors.
If all these seems fine there are errors in the controller board section.

I got no picture but the sund is ok.It's a

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:

ISSUES:

1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.
2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.
3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.
4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.

Answers to issues:

1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.

2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.

Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.5_24_2012_10_47_33_pm.jpg5_24_2012_10_47_54_pm.jpg

Wont power up?

Any light on the front at all? First place to look will be the power suppply module, you need to check the main AC fuse and DC filter caps (bad caps with domed tops). It can also be due to the main board or shorted out inverter boards.

The tv shut down and when i try to power back on i only get a flashing red light with no picture or sound. i checked the capacitors and they look OK as far as i can tell. what is my next option?

Replaced the tv main Tuner signal board it is shorted and dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.50/50 chances ur tv power supply board it is could be dead too.Power board capacitors components parts are not dead doesn't mean the tv power supply board it is good, could be those other components parts are dead too.U just don't have the know how and trouble shooting to find out how that all.

No power to machine. power socket is live as i have plugged in another appliance which works. does the machine have fuses?

Sounds like you need to have the mains suppressor checked out by an engineer.
Someone had this happen to them as well.
I checked fuses - ok I drained detergent water -ok I checked filter and pump - ok Machine will not start. Next step - contact customer service, however under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 I am contacting the supplier as the machine is new.
I hope you get your machine running soon.
Update The fault was as follows: Bosh Washing Machine WAE2446 Fault reported: DEAD Material: SUPPRESSOR Description: REPLACED FAULTY MAINS SUPPRESSOR
In a nut shell. The washing machine failed (went dead) because the mains suppressor was faulty. The suppressor normally filters out unwanted interference from the washing machine mains electrical supply. The part was replaced and the washing machine came back to life.

I just changed the main power board, and everything is fine...apart from no picture...sound is fine. Before the power board died, the picture was fine, apart from what looked like a water damage mark...

You need to try the following:
Check the power supply caps and voltages. Reseat the ribbon cables between the T-CON board (Timing Control board) which drive the LCD panel rows and columns, it get the LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signals) form the main board which has the VIDEO processor to drive the T-CON board.
When T-CON is dead you will see glowing screen without video, or when it has timing problem you will see lines, rolling, multiple pictures, pixelating.
The main board supplys switched 12vdc to power the T-CON board.
You need to do more checking.
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

I have an LG WM2277HW washing machine. My wife went in this morning to do some laundry and the thing is completely dead. No lights or signs of life. I checked the house circuit and the power to the...

Make sure the noise filter connectors are clean and connected properly. Get yourself a multimeter and check the voltage both on the load side and line side of the noise filter. It should read the same at 120VAC. The noise filter is the board before the main board. Replace it if the voltages on its load and line side are not the same.

The main board is not serviceable and must be replaced if faulty. It has a fuse and if it is blown, the main board is probably faulty. Look at the two brown capacitors on the top left of the main board. Next to it is a heat sink and to its right is a white "fuse-like" component with silver ends. That is the main board fuse. If it is blown, disconnect all the connectors from the main board except the one connecting it to the noise filter. Jump a single thin strand of wire in place of the fuse and apply power to the machine. Check if the power LED indicator on the main board lights up. If it does not, the main board is dead, replace it.

Please do not hesitate to update me about your findings above for further guidance if necessary.

Dead power button

Most likely cause; dead main board.

A technician should check the following to confirm:

1. Check that the AC outlet has 110V
2. Check that 100V is going from the power cord to the AC filter.
3. Check that 100V is exiting the AC filter to the main board.

If all this checks out then it is definitely a bad main board that will need replaced. Hope this helps, please rate my solution.
