Many receivers have a thermal "overload" switch that will shut down power to protect the rest of the unit if it senses an issue like excessive heat, or if the ohms or impedance gets too high. This is a safety mechanism and you should probably seek a qualified audio repair shop for further troubleshooting.

My Directv H21-200 will not power on. Even after leaving it unplugged for a while. I need to know if there is a fix or if it's fried.

Take the unit aparts, the power fuse at near the a/c power supply cord.Check for the power fuse.If the power fuse it is dead, replaced it,u have a 70%-80% the unit will work again. If the unit power fuse it is good.Than the unit it is fried,it could be anythings are dead on the unit PCB board, now u must have great electronic skills and troubleshooting skills to find out where it is and replaced it electronic parts on the unit PCB board.Require alot of skills at this points. Not worth the effort. It time to buy a new one.

Avanti EWC16B (wine cooler) got fried by power surge

A lot of time during storms the control boards in appliances get messed up. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in after about 20 seconds. A lot of times that will reset the controls.....if they did not get fried.

Lost power

You may have blown the fuse in the back of the unit. Take the radio out and check the fuse in the back if that is not the problem the reset button should be back there if it has one.

Vacuum will not turn on

Kenmore Model 116, behind the Vacuum cleaner there is a Motor Reset switch which you need to press.
1. Make sure the Vacuum Cleaner is unplugged.
2. Press the reset button gently in with a pen.
3. Plug back the Vacuum cleaner and it should work.

"Reset fusing unit"

Please open the front door and in the middle you will find a brown cover. Unscrew the screw of the cover and pull out the fusing unit.
Push it back carefully, close the front door and switch on.
If reset fusing unit is still there, probably the socket at the rear of the fusing unit is out of place. If it is Ok, then there is the plug mounted at the back in the machine which is out of place.
It will need to remove the power supply unit from the back, to be able to access this plug and adjust it.
Good luck.

Where is the inline fuse you are talking about

Hi: there are two fuses in the upper right section of the box( near the power cord entry) but that may not be the problem. After spending a good deal of time messing with the fuses and finding them to be fine I searched the web and found that there seems to be a problem with these units blowing out their TCO. This is a safety that opens ( forever) if the cavity temp is too high.

No sound.

Disconnect speakers one by one and reset the unit each time. If the speaker is blown, or the wires are frayed, it will shut down the internal amp. Also check the fuse in the back of the radio first, it should be near the wire harness. Power cycle the unit as well, unplug it from the power source, plug it back in. Hope this helps.
